You order your food, wait for it and then you find a place to eat it or you can get your meal to go. Pooh ordered the double cheese smash burger and I ordered the Mexican burger. Both of us had a poutine. My Mexican burger was delicious; just the right amount of heat and the other condiments were perfect. Pooh enjoyed his burger too. The burger meat itself was juicy. We had smash burgers before at another restaurant but they were over cooked and dry. The poutine was excellent. The fries were crispy from the first bite to the last bite. They added some spices to the fries which made the poutine super tasty. There were only two people working behind the counter so there was a bit of a wait but believe me it was worth it!!

We started with drinks. Pooh's dad (Andre) and I had Bloody Caesars, Pooh had a beer and Marie a house cocktail. The cocktail was too floral. Our Caesars were great. For appetizers Marie and Pooh had mussels, Andre, a Caesar salad and I had the French Onion soup. Andre's salad was a good size; Pooh and Marie enjoyed their mussels and my soup was very tasty Before the appetizers arrived a panier of warm bread and buns with a delicious olive oil and parmesan cheese sauce was brought to the table We ordered the Table D'hôte. Marie, Pooh and Andre had the fillet mignon and I had the bavette (flank steak). The cook on the steaks varied. Pooh and I ordered medium-rare; Marie ordered medium and Andre ordered medium-well. Pooh's steak was medium and my steak was medium-rare at the thinner end and very rare (almost blue) at the thicker end. Pooh, Marie and Andre had a baked potato without any butter and I had french fries. We shared two bottles of Italian red wine which was an excellent choice for the steaks. For dessert we had the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was dry - we needed the ice cream to help get it down. Pooh, Andre and I had a Brazilian coffee to wash everything down. Marie was driving. The service was excellent. Our server Édouard was very attentive; always checking on us. He was pleasant and had a friendly smile. Our glasses of water were always filled without us asking. I ordered a club sandwich and Pooh ordered the South Beach burger. My sandwich was good: the bacon was crispy and a lot of chicken. What I didn't like was the mayonnaise was on the side. For me a club sandwich comes with mayo inside not little mayonnaise packets on the side. If someone doesn't want the mayonnaise inside they can say "mayonnaise on the side " Pooh's burger was very tasty but everything was falling out because it was overloaded with ingredients. On the food front, Thierry the chef and owner is offering a great variety of home made products (foie gras in various form is to die for!) always show casing his food with plate presentation that once again you would expect in top restaurants. Flavors, textures are all spot on and are a great equilibrium between traditional french cooking and new world modern twists.
