Can I please just say Ewwwww~! And what in the world?!! First off our pizza had ham in it despite specifically stating we were vegetarians, so could they please make sure there was no meat of any kind in that pizza. Then a long hour of waiting, and lo and behold, the pizza had ham in it, so we had to send it back! Then, my iced peach tea had bloody MOLD!!! Seriously?!!! I get that a lot of restaurants were closed forever! But how on earth can you serve MOLDY tea?!!! Ugh~! I didn't even see it until I finished half of it! And I have anosmia, so I can't technically smell or taste things, so didn't see it until half my glass later! I am sooooo disgusted!!! Nary an apology, AND, they still charged me!!! I am never going back again!!! This place has really gone down the drain. If I fall ill in the next two days, I am going to sue them for my hospitalization! read more

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this restaurant at all. We were seated after a 10 minute wait but we…read morewere ok with that as the place was crowded. I ordered their specials for today: a pumpkin soup and their portobello mushroom risotto. Both dishes were utter disappointments. The pumpkin soup was very watery, not robust at all and extremely, extremely salty. Because I had not eaten since the day prior, I nearly finished the soup. But I could not justify finishing the risotto. It lacked flavor!! The only thing giving it flavor was the little salami pieces! That's it! And there wasn't enough of those to try to uphold the dish. Also, the service was slacking big time compared to other restaurants I have visited in the area. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Im Biergarten besser nur was trinken! read more

About an hour's drive from Hamburg, this place is set in a lovely village in the country. What surprises the most at first is the very cosy atmosphere of the restaurant, perfectly lit with a great fireplace in each of the rooms. Nice and warm with very well chosen sofas and chairs it is indeed an extremely comfortable place to eat. The service was efficient and professional. The menu is very appetizing. My wife and I went there for lunch and each had the 'sauerfleisch' and the 'Wildsülze' which were both copious and excellent. We loved it and very much recommend it.
