FINALLY, we got to try authentic Swiss food after a few days of being here. This place was found inside of Hotel Rebstock and its interior reminded me of a quaint Swiss town. They had cow bells hanging from the ceiling and other cute decors.
The service was very pleasant and the server was very kind and helpful in explaining the menu.
We had the dish of the day, which was venison. This came with pumpkin soup and it was sweet, salty, thick, and creamy. I LOVED it and wanted more. I usually don't like soup, but this was an exception. Then the main dish had a nice presentation to it. This was quite hearty and very delicious! There were two more things on this plate that I never liked eating before, which were the brussel sprouts and beets. However, on this dish, they were good. They both had a tinge of sweetness. The venison had a liver like texture, but more tender with a creamy sauce. Their version of the pasta seemed fried and it paired well with the meat. Then there was a yam-like deep fried ball that also tasted awesome! The unknown fruit on the plate was tart, but the pear with the beets duo was nicely done. read more
