They immediately made us feel at home and provided us with one of the best customer service experiences we've ever had. And then the food was amazing too, and the town a reflection of paradise. It was even conveniently located just a step away from Romsdalsgondolen, the place we had stopped in Andalsness to see and experience. Norway has a special way of making random, unexpected discoveries incredibly perfect, and running into this magical place certain was a great example of that! I highly recommend everyone visiting Trollstigen, Geiranger, and/or Romsdalsgondolen to definitely make a stop here, talk to the people, grab a glass of wine, and something to eat. Everything (except the pad thai) was fairly tasty, and not too different to spots in our regular Thai food rotation at home. I ordered the penang curry, which came with a very generous amount of chicken. It was quite spicy (I asked for medium), but not too bad. Quite flavorful, and I would get this again. I was actually quite full after. Also tried some of the minced pork dish with basil. This too was also very flavorful. I didn't love the mince pork, and would recommend getting this with chicken instead. Pad thai was kind of flavorless. Prices are typical high Norway prices. Not terrible given the lack of competition in the area, nice dining environment, taste and portions.

To me…read moreit's more like a bed and breakfast because there are only 16 rooms and a wonderful breakfast is included (see photos) with homemade bread, homemade preserves, eggs with chives, camembert with nuts and honey, salmon, proscuitto, and (my daughter's favorite!): reindeer sausage! The new owners and staff provided service as excellent as the facility, room, and food! In fact, the food was so good that a Russian billionaire came for lunch one of the days we were there (but we were hiking so we didn't see him). We felt truly cared for by all the staff. Even the cleaning ladies were smiling and helpful, giving our kids a few extra pieces of candy. The view is fantastic, and we loved the fire pit outside with the picnic tables and the stream running in the back yard (you can take a dip if you're brave!) Hosts are warm, friendly and helpful. Location is not in town so you probably need a car or can take a bus that stops at the hotel. Very convenient to the Trollstigen. Definitely recommend this place for hotel or dinner.
