Visited on 30/12/2015…read more We spent a pleasant and intimate evening in this fancy restaurant in Brand. What impressed me of this restaurant was the extraordinary flavour of some dishes Our order: 2 mixed salad, one schnitzel with fries, one kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit rosti, one bear one white wine The dinner was opened by a small cup with pumpkin cream, simply sublime as taste. However the cup was a coffe cup with a grip, which invited some people to "drink" the cream, which was strange to me :) We got two big salad each. Lettuce, sauerkraut, red beets and more, seasoned with a nice souce. Still the taste was excellent, but probably we should have order just one, because they were too big and for some reasons the waitress was waiting for us to get this finished before going on with the main courses The schnitzel (beef) was good, tender in the middle; the outside was dry and light. The dish however had a defect in my opinion: for the price of the dish and the restaurant quality in general, I shouldn't have received frozen fries but whatever handmade instead About "kalbsgeschnetzeltes mit rosti".. I don't know how to say, but probably one of the best thing I've ever tasted in a restaurant. The sauce was perfectly balanced with the sour cream and the mushrooms; then the tenderly of the meat, the crunchiness of the rosti. I could not stop eating it Nothing to say about the service; I've been positively impressed from a scene; since the portion of my girlfriend dish was really "generous", the waitress came to our table with a small cart, served my girlfriend with just half of her portion, keeping the other half hot for a while. Chapeau It's not a cheap restaurant; we were over 60 euros in two, but I can recommend it

disappointment overrated food, overpriced,…read more took long to get the food while the place was not full food wasn't cooked well and when asked for a explanation after a issue no one wanted to react. service/hospitality wise poor, very poor après ski bar perhaps restaurant not worthy ....

They serve dinner around 8pm onwards so & lunch menu is from 3pm. You'll need to make reservations for dinner as it gets very busy. During lunch they have full bar available, small lunch menu and a DJ playing schlager music the entire time. Even on a Monday afternoon, the DJ was blasting those tunes loud and enthusiastically trying to get the crowd singing. Which usually occurs after afew drinks anyway. The menu is traditional Austrian, so get right into it because it is delicious and homemade style. For lunch we ordered currywurst, bbq spare ribs with garlic bread and ham crust. The dinner vibe was a little less disco Germanic music and more relaxed but buoyant and busy. I think we over ordered but ah well. We had crunchy winter salad, double boiled beef broth with fried cheese dumplings, classic bacon & onions flame tarte (ham crust), pork belly with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes and crispy skin boneless chicken leg with spinach "spätzle" and mushrooms. Honestly no bad dish, everything was top notch only problem was the food was so filling it was difficult to consume it all. Luckily we took our time and managed somewhat. The ambience of this restaurant is cool, Austrian, joyful and drinking. Definitely try some of the local Austrian beers. We enjoyed this place alot and definitely will return upon next visit. Recommended.
