You just have to put it in the toaster longer" to which she replied "I'll try" It was darker in color on one side and completely soft on the other. Either she doesnt know how to work a toaster or they need a new toaster. I already knew better than to try the pancakes again because they are made ahead of time, allowed to be served room temperature and are as dense as a hockey puck. The bacon was fried to a burnt crisp and the hashbrowns were not hashbrowns, they were Rösti. Even Rösti usually has more crispy bits on top. This was simply grated boiled potatoes! Eggs are hard underneath...must I go on??! Oh the coffee! I couldn't even make it past the first few sips. The coffee to go in the front of the store is slightly better.

The Mexican burger was excellent and the burger cooked to perfection (medium rare). If you don't like thus ask the waitress to ensure your burger is cooked right through. For me a good burger should be served medium rare. The banana milkshake was fantastic and a meal on its own :-) All in all a great experience and would happily repeat again.

We passed in front and that's how we discovered this place. As mentioned in reviews before, the diner is part of a well known American and British market in town that exists for years and years. They maybe need to create a hostess system where they take note of the name of the people queuing and who's first. Meat is blend, sauce is not special at all, bread is not as fresh as it could be. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. Although, the fries with cheddar were actually pretty amazing. We also tried the coleslaw as everyone was having a free sample when they arrive at the diner (which we though it was very kind of them and everyone appreciated) and the coleslaw was really good too, quite healthy and without much sauce and without being so sweet as many others, but it was DAMN GOOD! They also give us nice candies with the bill and it was sweet and yummy =) Overall, the experience was good and we can't wait to go back to try the hotdogs and milkshakes as the place is pretty awesome! If the burgers were amazing, we would never leave this place. If we could get the burger from INGLEWOOD or BLAQK and have the place of American Dream Diner, it would be a great combination... but guess we can't have it all! Shocking level of unprofessionalism from the staff of waitresses…read more I urgently ran in during a medical emergency and said, "Hey, where's your restroom?! I'll even buy something, I just need a restroom!!" I did greet the employees. "Hey" apparently wasn't the greeting she expected, and she stopped to scold me, "We say HELLO first..." Rather than immediately directing someone in obvious distress to the restroom, she chose to scold me on "etiquette," was reluctant to point me in the right direction, and treated me with unnecessary attitude. Every second spent policing a greeting was a second taken away from helping someone dealing with an urgent medical emergency. After handling the emergency, I returned to make a payment and calmly explained that I had not meant any disrespect and was simply in a difficult situation. Again, I was met with the same lack of empathy from the remaining staff members taking my payment. Everyone is entitled to a basic standard of politeness. What surprised me was the inability to recognize when common sense and basic compassion should take precedence over petty formalities. Uncalled for pettiness and attitude IS bad service AND poor treatment. 0 stars from me. I absolutely started with "Hey!"

I got the salad (fantastic - lots of veggies) and chicken as the main course. The kitchen didn't mind my special request of having only vegetables on the side instead of vegetables and potatoes. The food was delicious and served quickly so I could get back to the office. My friend and I were very happy here.
