You guys need to hire new staff or give the ones you have an attitude adjustment. I won't name names, but it seems to be something that affects multiple stores. One rude employee is one thing, but when it happens in multiple stores there's a serious problem with how the store is managed. I read the previous reviews and wanted to give you guys benefit of the doubt. Boy I was wrong, and now you've lost another potential customer. read more

This is a fraud company/store. I ordered something from them. They canceled my order and it was never delivered. They charged me for the item. And I am fighting to get the refund. Please do not do business with them. Its a FRAUD. read more

Good place to shop if your family consumes a lot meat and fish! Volume discount for the more you buy, the lower the unit price. Deducted one star for harder to find someone to help you, if you have questions or need additional help to fetch an item from the back. Also their checkout line could be very slow. read more

The staff was helpful and polite; I go what I came for, and the price was good, too. In and out in record time on a Saturday!

Well I will have to say this last visit just was the straw that broke the camel's back the managers are forever miserable and show it by their expressions on their faces with no smiles never apologetic for any of the Mix-Ups due to their mistakes. Like today apparently there had been a lot of stuff put underneath signs that wouldn't apply to that product even though the product was also chicken and it looked like it could be the leg quarters but wrong SKU. Happy appreciated employees make fewer errors. Not to mention us as the customer mention to the manager about the mix up rolled her eyes and said "Get the sign and walked a way." I've been a customer service manager for 25 years employees work better when they're appreciated and not treated like they do not matter. If you're an owner and you have a facility like this you should be ashamed of yourself. Prices and products is why we go here. However we have avoided going back because of the rudeness and my concern for the employees too. We hoped for improvement but No. The interactions between the manager's & customers is appauling. Then employee as well. Customer service requires smiling, empathy, and the willingness to adapt. If I have a bad day my staff does not know neither will my customers. read more

The only reason I bumped this up Is because the supervisors I talk to at the registers who count are always so helpful in locating product I cannot locate on shelves are so great. It sucks I ha e to drive a ways to get here and each time shelves are empty with this product it seems. It at least the women at the front know how to get it done. now they just need to work at that freezer stock for cookies. read more

I really like this place I find myself coming here mostly for their cheese selection- their kashkaval and cheddar with bacon make great cheese gooeyness in paninis. Prices are very cheap and quality is great read more

Restaurant Depot - Best cheese from RD :) it's so creamy and full of flavor but a bit stinky lol - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Troy, Michigan

Went there today 2-17-24 for the first time and I will say that it will be the last time, to start it off they have no respect to anyone and have attitudes about everything, things are misplaced or not priced right and argue with you at the checkout, and not to mention that I had to sit in there line for over an hour before they finally opened up another line. For warning take your money elsewhere. I don't even want to leave a one star review I think they deserve to get nothing that's how poor the whole environment was. read more

These hi low drivers are they even properly trained? Speeding through corners & isle! Beeping at every customers that is in that isle before them because he needs to speed through it. I wonder if any type of owner/safety inspection comes check on this store! The lady at the front wow she's just hate being there. Not sure why she even wanted a job with customers services! She can go work at Walmart they probably need her more over there. And don't get me started on these old school cash registers!! read more

They sell mislabeled products then fight to get your refund. Then stand in line again for 40 minutes just to get my refund for fraudulent selling of product! Buyers beware of this place read more

Run run run away from here! This has to be the worst place to shop...no customer service, lack of items off the shelf, items missing & you can't ask for anything because no one is there to help you. The other day I went there to pick up a few items; When I walked out I noticed that I was charged $5 more than what the item was listed for; I walked back in and took a pic of the listed price and what I was charged. The clerk told me that I had to go back in the store and get the listed price and give it to her!!!! WHAT? I have to bring the price list to her!?!?!?????? Of course I did...BUT REALLY!?!? I HATE THIS PLACE AND WISH THERE WAS SOMEPLACE ELSE YOU COULD GET MASS ITEMS! read more

If I could give this place a 0 (zero) rating I would! This place needs NEW Management YESTERDAY! Always an extreme SHITT SHOW when I try to get into here. One of the forklift drivers will end up in killing someone. Why do i say that? I, my self, have been inches away from being hit by one. They give ZERO f**** here. Wish you the best on your journey here fellow customers. Oh, and if you're trying to find a product Lololol you better clear your whole day. Also dont forget to bring your football gear for your protection. read more

The worst the dirtiest place to visit pile of stuff everywhere in the isles. You ask the employees for help to find an item they get very rude cursing. read more

Most of the people are very nice and helpful But unfortunately there is always one who makes you never want to go back. In this case it's the woman at the service counter with blue hair. She is short tampered rude and makes you feel unwanted. You call on the phone and ask for a product so you don't have to run from Ypsilanti to Troy, and you are bothering her. I needed to me a large quantity of a product, she says"yea we got some" click go's the phone. I go to the Troy store , I look for the product not there, I go to the counter she said they have 40 1 gallon jugs ( 10 cases) she slammed her hand down calls a high-low and says,( if he can't find it I guess you're out of luck, I don't know what to tell you and why you got to call every day), I wonder why myself. So I stopped going there unless I have no choice. I have mentioned her to the other stores and they know EXACTLY who she. Rude, mean, she plays like she is above everyone else and you should be happy she even looks in your direction or give you the time of day. I almost guarantee if she was talked to in the manner she talks to people she would go crazy and have to be thrown out of the store. Retrain or put her somewhere where she has no contact with people! Sorry to have to put this here, but I don't think management is going to do anything about it. read more

Disaster and chaos. Everything from workers dropping F bombs to products with no price labels, to rude and disrespectful cashiers. Truly a reflection of the manager who can care less. Apathetic and pathetic. We even attempted to call the regional manager, left 3 messages, and still no call back. Nothing but poor pathetic excuses to why things are a disaster. Close the Dearborn location or find a new store and regional manager. read more

Worst place to shop but I have no other choice. Nothing is ever stocked on shelves. You have to search for items overhead yourself and hope that one of the pallet drivers don't ignore you when you need assistance. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm fearful I'm going to be injured or killed in this place from their negligence and wreckless driving through the aisles. Check out is a painful process as well. Not enough check lanes open then you have to wait until someone comes over and count your items which they can't seem to get right either. I wish there were other options for us restaurant owners. read more

First off, you have to have a Tax Id to be able to shop here... it's not open to the public. But, if your clever, it should be pretty easy to get one, even if you don't have your own business or Charity. A lot of groups (Cub Scouts, Schools, Church Groups) would be eligible. The prices here are basically the cheapest you are going to find. Cheaper than Sams/Costco and cheaper than any broadline distributors (Sysco, GFS, etc). Shawn the GM is a good guy, as are most of the other employees there. They've got a lot of variety of almost anything... I like to get meats here if I'm doing a BBQ or camping. It is a giant warehouse, and there's no shopping carts, just giant palate on wheels thingies.... But check it out... especially if you are doing an even for a big group. Their paper and cleaning products are really cheap too. read more

Avoid this establishment at all costs. It is necessary for every business owner to decide whether their time and resources are more valuable than their sanity. This place is a circus. Apparently there are more Chiefs than Indians. Seems accurate if you ask me. It's micromanaged to death. Nothing is ever in stock and the prices are never accurate. It's not completely the fault of the employees but rather management. read more

This place is smaller than the one in Dearborn and carries less items, but it's still Restaurant Depot!!

Impossible to shop here! You even make a call to them, they say they have what I need, and nope! Then you try to return items, paid for by cash, and they are trying to only give an in store credit...well HMMM....maybe if you actually had what I need, I'd be able to spend my money here! Would rather pay for shipping, than deal with this place! read more

If I could rate as 0, I would. Troy, MI location. I was overcharged, pointed that out, was told that I need to return this item. Was repeatedly sent back and forth, from one person to another. Simple process took over 45 minutes. Manager wasn't helpful. Lady helping at the register, when I pointed out that simple process should not take that long, yelled at me that I am being rude then ignored my request for assistance and started assisting customers that came later. Then started badmouthing about me and my accent with her co-workers. I called corporate office, left my name and phone number, but nobody cared to return my call. read more

The worst customer service know to mankind. They don't care plain don't care and it's all over every employees face. No concept of their customers time. In a hurry to talk and joke with each other no hurry to assist customers. Restaurant Depot - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Troy, Michigan

It took them 3hrs to unload 8 pallets. Messy please, careless people screwed my schedule.

The prices and selection make it worthwhile but I will agree with several other reviews regarding the TERRIBLE customer service (most times). The problem I have most often is the lunch meat is not in the correct place or is not restocked regularly. When I ask for help finding something I have on multiple occasions been given the wrong item. They either don't know their inventory or just want to get a customer out of their hair. This results in me being charged much more than I should have been charged (and I usually don't catch it right away). Then its a major PITA to drive back and return/exchange items. I've found CS at Gordon's to be much better and to be honest prices are similar on many items. RD is larger and has more variety but its getting to the point where I dread going there anymore. It's a shame, it could be such a positive experience if their employees just gave a crap! Hopefully corporate reads these reviews and takes notice of all the CS complaints, it's something that should be easily reversed with training (or replacing employees who can't understand the importance of customer service). read more

The service is non existent. The staff acts like you are a nuisance. Someone is going to get killed by the pallet lift drivers. I wish there was another option for me. I really dread going to this place. Always a negative experience. Oh yea, forgot about the long checkout lines. read more

I'm a driver trying to deliver..... checked in at 1120a for my noon appt.....give them my paperwork and my number to call when ready for a door...... at 1p I walk in to get update not only for me but my company because now my next pick up has to be rescheduled..... guys gets an attitude, throws his pen down, starts waiving his hands around etc..... very rude and aggressive. Tells me my update is when they call or come get me for a door..... so that's what I tell my company. As I wrote this it's not 120p and still not called for a door yet 3 other trucks behind me have..... there's a ton of food safety issues here because they have fish/seafood on a pallet right beside fresh produce getting outta temp... noticed that when I checked in at 1120a and when I went in for update same 2 pallets of fish and produce still sitting there.... just a cluster of a place from the overall location, the parking lot for us trucks is full of potholes and cramped as I don't know what, the extremely rude and aggressive staff, and of course the treatment or lack there of treatment for the food they're receiving. read more

Horrible customer service. Always. If we could get certain items somewhere else we would. Good luck here AND at the Dearborn store.

This has got to be the most unprofessional store I've ever been to. Unorganized, staff acting in unprofessional manners, I'm told products are in-house when they aren't after I make the drive to the store, and on and on. I've been coming here for some equipment needs or emergency items for 2 years. Never again. I'll pay more for better service elsewhere read more

Facility was dirty and merchandise were unorderly. The cashiers were rude and more concerned about gossip than cashing customers out. The manager seriously needs to train the staff better when it comes to customer service. The Dearborn location is far better than this location. read more
