I was curious to know what my experience would be and I was not disappointed. The cashier was kind and greeted me with a smile and warm hello. We were in and out. The parking was the usual but not too bad for a Friday morning. While there, I also picked up a 35 piece set of food storage containers for $7.99! They will definitely come in handy. Overall, glad the foot traffic wasn't so heavy and I could browse a bit today. The scanners at the entrance are a nice addition. There are rows of bins and you have to dig deeper in some than others. There are also items lining the walls that are separately priced than whatever "dollar day" amount is advertised. I've been on $10, $4 $3 and $1 days. (Where everything in the bins in that price) I have found the best stuff for the best deal on $1 days. Mostly kids items and cosmetics. My only real complaint is they allow shopping carts. The aisles are tight, the place isn't very big and the carts take up the aisles and I've been many times where I can't get down any aisle due to the amount of people using carts. They have baskets which is great and I wish more people utilized those instead of carts. Overall it's worth checking out on various dollar days to see what deals you can get.

If you have never been to a Hamrick's, the main feature is economy pricing on clothing. They have a large ladies department, with a fairly good sized men's department as well. There are also departments for home decor, kitchen, and "as seen on tv" gadgets. I found a few things, such as men's undershirts that were at a good discount. Check out employees were prompt, polite, and professional. Another nice feature is a seating area for tired shoppers (or husbands that got dragged into the store!)

However, I was able to exchange it utilizing the no receipt option. The cashier was friendly & patient. While there, I did get a few more battery operated lights in preparation for hurricane season. I also saw some seat covers for my couch and recliner. However, they were too small and I need to go back and return them. I will be sure to do so before 60 days so that I can get a refund.
