We ate dinner upstairs, and enjoyed the cozy space with modern touches and high ceilings. The restaurant is in a charming part of the village, and it's worth considering having lunch here to enjoy a walk around the area in the daylight. Overall the food was excellent. I had the foie gras, while my friend had scallops for appetizers. Both were delicious. The foie gras had a nice poached texture in a soup, while the scallops were perfectly prepared -- just at the point of having some firmness, with a soft (under cooked in a good way) texture inside. We had one of the courses for two to share -- I believe it was quail, but am not sure from the translation (menus were in French). This to me was good not amazing. The meat was a bit dry in some places, though the sauce and accompanying veggies were delicious. There were also black truffles, though they didn't add much flavor, and the side of foam-like potato didn't do much for me either. Dessert was a real standout. We had one with lemon and their version of an apple tatin, and both were excellent and beautifully presented. It helps that both included ice cream as well. This is a great spot for wine lovers, as the wine list is extensive and there are numerous offerings from right around the restaurant. We had a delicious bottle of local Chasselas that our waiter recommended. Service here is friendly and professional. Expect a meal here to take at least two hours, so plan accordingly. Besides the less than amazing main course, a downside of this place is it's pricey even by Switzerland standards. Expect appetizers to be in the 30 CHF range, mains 50-60, and desserts around 20. I enjoyed my experience enough that to me it's worth it to go back, but it's definitely not a value destination.
