Restaurant China Zentrum is located right off of the Naschmarkt on the Linke Wienzeile. I have walked by it several times and recently decided to stop in for a bite to eat. The corner space is attractive enough and has an open kitchen. Service was pleasant ... but the food itself did not make a great impression. The first course was an order of spring rolls. They were okay. The main course was an Austro-Chinese favorite - Acht Schätze (Eight treasures) The principal meat was duck and rice accompanied the dish. It looked totally wonderful ... but it tasted so bland. And it was not hot at all like the menu said it would be. They do have Sriracha and soy sauce on the table and they helped bring out a little more flavor but still I was disappointed. At least the prices were reasonable. I'll probably though just go back to walking on by this restaurant. read more
