This place is my new favourite Chinese food place if I don't want to go all the way to Istedgade. We went here when it was 4 pm so the place was empty and I was always rather suspicious of the empty restaurant, but we got our menu and everything on the menu looked very good (read: authentic Chinese cooking, not those "Danish-adjusted" Chinese food menu in small-town Chinese place - they do have fried rice and fried noodles and we didn't try those, but they looked much better in the pictures than those put up by those "Kina Grill" places).
We got ourselves pan-fried pork & cabbage dumpling and dumpling in chilli oil for starter and they were amazing. My boyfriend and I shared main of aubergine & pork in the hotplate. Everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The price was also on the cheap side as well.
My only criticism is probably there is no chilli sauce on the table (isn't it a must to have (Chinese) condiments on the table?) and that there were no chopsticks ready, but my guess was this place was frequented mostly by Danes that they didn't bother to put out the chopsticks. A little request and out came the chilli oil and chopstick.
Although the decor isn't as kitschy as Magasasa in Istedgade or other Chinese places, the food is authentic enough to satiate my taste buds. This will not be my only visit to this place! read more
