The whole fried fish was alright. The duck was also alright. Their beef broth soup with dumplings was amazing, the cheese dumplings are not cheese dumplings but meatballs with some cheese inside. I wasn't told it as well but I was pleasantly surprised. Their flat cheese pancakes were delicious too. We spent over 200 Euros for four people. I cannot say we enjoyed the experience... The most delicious thing I've had so far in Germany is the roasted pork knuckle. I had it yesterday and had to have it again today. The pork meat is so flavorful and the skin is cooked to a crisp, mouthwatering crunch. The pork knuckle is pretty big and probably can be shared between two people, but I'm a fata*s and can gobble that whole thing up by myself. The dish comes with sauerkraut and two potato dumplings. The potato dumplings were also delicious and goes well with the sauerkraut. If you've never had pork knuckles, now's the time to try it. I haven't quite seen these back in the States before.

It's located in the town of Schwangau and you can see the Neuschwanstein Castle from the balconies on many of the rooms. It's quite a picturesque view and a lovely area. The hotel has about 54 rooms and two restaurants a bar and wellness center. The staff are very nice here and the rooms are also nice. Breakfast is included and it was a nice assortment of choices that were well prepared. The bar is also very nice with a great list of cocktails and the bar tender here makes his own schnapps which are to die for :-) amazing hazelnut schnapps homemade. Our rooms were nice and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect including a nice bag for the use of the wellness center including towels and so on. If you forget your bathing suit they do have some you can borrow. All in all a lovely experience and I would come back here again.
