Piping hot food that tasted wonderful. The restaurant itself is upscale. I traveled with a friend from China and they said this was the most authentic to Chinese food they had tasted. That sounds like a winner to me. There was a definite language barrier between the server and I. He spoke Swedish and Mandarin and I speak neither of those. We made it work just fine. We ordered several dishes, and they were all delicious. We were here at dinner and had hoped to pop back during the lunch buffet, but we never made it back. Also a stop on a food tour. I had found Stockholm to have a pretty diverse food scene, especially in Södermalm. While the food we had was decent, none of it would have been items I chose on my own. We had a pork bao, spicy cucumbers, and and Eggplant dish. To be honest, all three dishes kind of tasted the same to me, which is the biggest reason for my score. There's not that many Chinese restaurants in Stockholm so the fact that I heard great reviews about China! meant that I had to stop by here! Located only 2 stops by the subway from me, I got there in less than 15 minutes! Once you go in, the decor of it is very "typical" Chinese. And when I say that I mean the "stereotype" of how Chinese restaurants "should" look. Anyways, it was still really nice. I noticed they did have the circular tables with the spinning glass so you're able to eat family style. The wait staff was very knowledgeable in all the dishes and I was surprised to see a good amount of traditional Chinese dishes and not the "chicken and broccoli" dish you see everywhere else. They even have my favorite dish which was the fish in hot chili oil! The group I was with ordered a bunch of other dishes that were equally as delicious but hands down the best dish was the Beijing Peking duck. I'm still so surprised how much of an authentic Chinese restaurant this place was and couldn't think of a better way to celebrate Chinese New Year than at here. Thanks China! read more

I have eaten here several times before and have never had to order in advance. Today, I called to ask if the promo they have for half price duck is still on today since it is a Monday and I was told that it is so off we went there. When we got in, we were helped to sit by a table. I have a one year old and a stroller. I asked where I could park the stroller and I was told at the back and go get the high chair from there too. So we were sitting for a good 5 maybe more minutes without anyone giving us any menu. I had to ask someone for one. So we got one, waited for someone to come and take our order. After about 10-15 minutes, no one has come yet. I was raising my hand so I could signal to the lady that we are ready since no on was coming our way. She looked me in the eye, looked away, and ignored me. The other waiter, a male, was passing by us all the time with orders so the moment he served the table next to us, I was assuming he would come to take our orders. Nope, he didn't. I had to literally raise my voice and say EXCUSE ME before he came to our table. So I ordered the Peking Duck, which I called about earlier. I was told "I'm sorry you cannot order that." And I was like... "uhm what do you mean???" Apparently, you have to order ONE DAY IN ADVANCE which he did not mention when I called earlier. Did I get any apology? No. It felt like I was a second class citizen and when I voiced it out and said that this feels like discrimination, I was not kidding. Worst ever restaurant experience in Sweden. Ever. read more

One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. I have eaten here several times and always been satisfied with both the food and service. Make sure to book in advance especially on Mondays when the Peking duck is half the price (300kr instead of 600kr for 4 people). Good for bigger groups also as this is not a typical small crowded Stockholm restaurant. Do try the amazing Peking duck which comes in three courses (pancakes, cut duck, soup). Restaurant recommends the duck for four persons but if you are very hungry you might need to order another dish on the side. read more

I highly recommend the eggplant, pak choy with shiitake mushrooms, and most of the pork dishes. Also, every Monday, they have a special for half price peking duck - 299 sek for 4 people, 3 courses! After my Swedish course we went to this place because one of the girls said that this place is really good. They offered a lunch buffet for less than 100kr (if I remember right). And as she said it the food was good, better than many chinese restaurants I have been to that offered lunch buffets. The place was packed with people. After lunch, as we still sat there and talked, the restaurant got a little more quiet. Yap, if you are around here. I can definitely recommend this place. PS: This is also a place where I got again confirmed that Chinese service skills are not one of the best. I mean the food was good, that out of question. I have had their lunch buffet a long time ago, and that was good - but the dinner is excellent. They serve stuff that's not custom made for the average Swede, and some of the stuff they have is kind of daring. Like the geese feet. We had the cucumber appetizer, which was delicious. Fact is, that all the courses we chose were great. And varied - the spicy tofu stew was great. It's not the cheapest place, but well worth the money. If you like duck, they have a three duck courses menu, as well as whole Peking duck. I'm not a fan of duck, so I haven't tried, but I will definitely come back here. read more

Ordered two ducks several days in advance. Still had to wait a whole hour to have food brought out.

First, this place is really called China! now. I believe the name changed last year. After one visit, I did not fall completely in love with the place, but I do want to go back and try more, so I think that is worth 3 stars. I visited with a large group, and service was mostly good, although one new waitress kept trying to give us food that didn't belong to our table. My entree was the vattenkokt fisk, (usually translated to fish in hot oil when it is translated to English.) The fish was tender and tasted fresh. The spiciness was just right. My favorite vegetables, cabbage and bean sprouts, were included. My only complaint about this dish was it did taste as though they had used ramen noodle soup powder to add some extra oomph to the broth, so it was a little salty and a little processed tasting. Other people in the group had the 3 color chicken (said it was really good) the chili pepper chicken (ordered by someone who previously lived in China, and he was very pleased) and many other things I can't remember now-but everyone was at least content with their food. We also had loads of appetizers, like the ducks necks, which were well liked, and the cucumbers, which were very tasty, even if the sauce was a tiny bit gloppy. read more
