Stopped in for weekday dinner, but the restaurant entrance is a bit hidden, around the corner from the plaza, behind the Audi dealership. So, although it is only 50m from the plaza, there is a feeling of seclusion, as it also overlooks a small private park.
The interior decor is more elaborate, with two 4m high jazz murals on either end of the fully open kitchen.
As I arrived at my table, How considerate! My server unfolded my napkin for me, and placed it on my lap. For those of us who do not understand how to operate a napkin.
Aside from this, I found the servers to be excellent, attentive and efficient.
The Chef frequently leaves the kitchen to assist the servers, shave truffles onto individual dishes, or to interact with the guests.
An enjoyable non-standard presentation was "Caprese:" a mozzarella parfait, over reduced basil, dried tomato.
Less enjoyable was the presentation of potato pieróg with cabbage and mushrooms. Apparently, it was to be eaten with not-the-cheapest-possible waribashi placed on simple elegant hashioki. Luckily, I was able to enjoy the delicious caviar-topped dumpling without splinters that are so very common with disposable chopsticks.
But, in any event, I will have to return.
