When we arrived we were scolded by the hostess for being an hour early. We had an email confirmation for our 6:00 pm reservation and she insisted it was for 7:00 pm. We waited for extended lengths of time for assistance. The food was very good, but being sat in a back room and scolded by a hostess made it a very off putting experience. We will not be back.

Traditional Czech food that was half price of the restaurants in old town. I'd say they had the best goulash soup that we have eaten, which was a huge portion. The broth was very thick and filled with meat, not just broth, with big chunks of potatoes and carrots. The pork knuckle could be on or off the bone, it was like 2 servings. It came with white and purple sauerkraut and chives dumplings. I had the goulash, which was a hint of spicy with the paprika and onions. The dumplings (4) sopped up the rest of the gravy. Beers were also cheaper. Give it a go!

It's not quite my preferred type of dessert, but as far as I can judge, it was also very tasty and well executed. In short: our best restaurant experience in all of Prague. Food and drinks were outstanding. The three of us spent around €100 together, which was more than reasonable for this quality. We recommend the place without reservation and are already very much looking forward to another visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal in Prague!
