Quite a nice place for distanced Stodulky district. Since its Pielsner's original Restaurant, you'll find familiar interior and perfect beer. Food selection is quite usual for the pub. read more

The food is here to keep you busy and to slow down how fast you get drunk. Order bar food - fries, sausages, fried cheese- and you'll be great. Order a whole meal and well, you get the picture. The beer is good and the shots may or may not be to your taste. No, they're not free. Why would a beer hall give away alcohol? However, the word "no" is perfectly acceptable if you don't want a shot or another beer. The staff doesn't care whether or not you order beer. I got bottled tea and I saw others drinking coffee. No hassles. Atmosphere is kicka**. On a nice day the outdoor tables are lovely. The interior has to be seen to be believed. If you tried to conjure up a fairytale Bohemian tavern you couldn't come up with something better than this. Stay as long as you like and enjoy the accordion music and the vibe. The owner of this place LOVES his restaurant, and certainly loves entertaining. He has had the place for quite some time, and even though he recently had a stroke this place keeps him ticking. The restaurant itself if quite interesting, and the art goes from classical to hilarious but it is all pretty cool. We had started off with some meat & cheese platters. Then we were all given a shot of Becherovka, which I am not going to lie... It was rough, lol. We had a couple of different options for dinner, I went with the Roasted Duck, cabbage & potato dumplings. I don't recall what the other options were, but who cares... The DUCK WAS AMAZING. They must eat a lot of duck Europe, it seemed to be the most popular item at most places but the pricing was always reasonable. Duck is considered a fine dining dish in America, so I tried it a lot when I was on my trip. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was even better. We had a live keyboardist, which sang songs and had everyone laughing. It was certainly a good time had by all. I would definitely recommend this place, and take some time to look at the art work.
