Greta for lunch. Great beer and meal. Good service. Very good location. Simple and nice. Good prices.

It's our first day in Prague, and we came across this place whilst wandering around - honestly we were attracted to it by the funky cat logo on the outside! The food was dynamite and can't recommend enough - We had the 'gratinated French potatoes with smoked and pork meat' and the 'chicken breast and roast pork in spicy vegetable salad'. I will say that the portion sizes are pretty huge, so keep in mind when you're ordering! They also do homemade lemonade which went down a treat, especially since they come in supersize mode too. Anyway, would definitely recommend. Give it a go! (Also, my first Yelp review)

    Czech brie starter

As with a lot of other restaurants in Prague, prepare to eat a lot. I ordered a brie starter which I thought might be some slices of brie, maybe deep fried brie fritters, brie on bread. Nope. Out comes an entire brie. I am a cheese fiend so this did not bother me. I thought that it was supposed to come with bread and it didn't, though I decided against asking for some when I considered how many dumplings my main course might include. I failed at eating the entire cheese but what I did eat was delicious. For my main I had duck with red cabbage and a wide variety of dumplings. I love all dumplings but particularly bread dumplings. The duck was well cooked and super tasty. All in all a very tasty and filling dish. A huge bonus point about this place was that they had Fenix wheat beer which was amazing. I didn't actually see this in many other places in Prague but maybe I just wasn't going to the right places.

Checz specialties: duck with red cabbage and rabbit with spinach. Both served with dumplings (of bread and potatoes)

This place has a very nice krkovička and good beers. Reserve in advance as walk-in is likely to be unsuccessful

I especially recommend going during the lunch hour, when you can get a meal for 100 CZK.

We came at 4pm on a Thursday and they told us we could find a table with a reserved time, we just have to leave about 15 mins before the reserved time starts. We walked into the back, found a four top and the waitress immediately got a baby chair and brought menus. She said they make buttered noodles for free for kids and said she can put that in asap - total pro! We ordered the pork roll with dumplings and a side of beet salad to share - DELISH! The menu changes daily and the waitress will tell you what's good to order - do as she says - order came out in less than five minutes! The blonde beer was delicious and crisp, very drinkable. If you want some good services, vibes, and classic beer and food- this is the place.

Wow this place is busy around dinner time, but it turns over pretty quick! If you're looking for a…read morequiet intimate meal for two, this is most certainly not the place to go. If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.
