My elderly mother paid top dollar to get rid of ants in her house. She was told to expect to see the ants for another few days, then they would diminish. Five days later they were worse than ever, so she called RIP. Her call was not returned. Another five days later she called again. She was told that if she didn't receive a return phone call this time, to call back in a couple of hours. Her second phone call was still not returned. This business is not only incompetent (in failing to provide the service they promise), they walk away once they have your money and will not respond to customer requests for follow-up. read more

Guys from this awful pest control came to my house, did nothing!! and also broke my favorite wine glass. I emailed their manager after I got back from work so the manager promised me a replacement. After one month of silence I emailed them one more time but they almost asked me to "shut up and wait or you can forget about your replacement". I dont know who answers emails there but the person is unprofessional and rude. Almost two months and guess what...I still dont have my replaced wine glass. Unfortunately, they came several times after this accident because I still saw mice in my apartment and my landlord contacted this company. THEY DID NOTHING! I received the email which said that the service was performed but nothing was done and I still hear and sometimes see mice in my room. If you wanna save your money, time and good mood, try to avoid this company. read more

Not resting in peace right now! We had used RIP a few times in the past. If there was a no star rating I would go with that. They totally ripped us off. We used them last year for spiders and mice, they charged us 175 for interior and exterior. This year, we had them come again, said they would be there at 11, got a call at 10:45 saying that they were there. I was there before 11 and they were finished and waiting in the van. (Mind you the woman I spoke with on the phone says that it takes 45 mins to an hour to do the exterior.) I did not ask for an exterior treatment, I wanted an interior treatment. None of this seems right. the spiders came back (since there was no interior treatment done). They charged me $200 and said that it was an additional $150 to come back and do the interior. Mind you, this could have been fixed and done the right way the first time. I will never use them again. They made me feel like a terrible customer when I had used them and recommended them many times before. As owner of rental properties I will never use them again. read more

Tried a couple of other "well Known" pest control companies first to no avail. We were having problems at our business with mice and roaches that they tracked down coming from the business next to us, a restaurant no less. They spoke to them and had them agree to a group treatment as that was the only way it could be cleared up. They had to work with their kitchen staff and explain to to really clean so as to not get more problems in the future. Not only did they clear up the problems but educated people as how to prevent it from coming back. read more

RIP was recommended by the realtor selling my mother's house, which had been vacant for 5 years. It appeared from the insulation damage under the eaves that critters were nesting there. I called RIP and they conducted an inspection of the entire house. Tom could have claimed that a cadre of critters were nesting there and I would have paid for their elimination. Instead, he told me that there was no evidence of rodents, only damage to the old, paper covered insulation by clothing moths, which were no longer present. When I asked how much I owed, I was told the inspection was free! Free inspection AND no attempt to scam me. I highly recommend this company. read more

R.I.P. was used as a low budget alternative for Chicopee Housing. In one building, housing eight units, at the Riverview Terrace site, in Chicopee, all units were infested with bedbugs. It has now been 3 years, and in spite of old folks having home aides washing, drying, and bagging all clothes, and R.I.P. treating the units, the infestation continues. All of the eight units should have been treated, but instead, this lame company would treat one unit, the bugs go to the next unit, they treat that unit, and so on until unit one is again infested. The Chicopee Board of Health was notified, and to this day, the issue still exists. And, the tech told one tenant, housing wanted to cut cost so they had to give it less than their best shot. R.I.P. should have reported this to the Board of Health. They did not. Now, in the unit housing eight apartments in a different block, one unit is infested. Housing called and refused to believe the Tennant in spite of a baggie full of bugs and bites all over his arms. R.I.P. arrived to save the day, and after six months, the infestation continues. Tech insisted only one unit had to be treated. These people do not know what they are doing, and the manager does not care at all about the companies rep . Do not use this company. read more

I would never recommend that you do business with this company, I'm not sure I would even call them a company. When you contact them for service the women who answer the phone are not only incompetent the are also unprofessional. They give will tell you that you are scheduled for a given day and then change that date without notifying you. One person actually told me that I was "difficult and bitchy" and then hung up on me. I manage an apartment community of over 300 apartments where a resident has bed bugs and their agreement is to retreat 30 days later, they expected my resident to wait 60 days for them to come back and treat. I had to make 3 calls in order to get them to hold to the terms of the contract and on the third call I was told that I was bitchy. In my world you hold to the terms of an agreement. This company does not follow through on the promises they make when they are trying to get your business. They are unreliable and a complete nightmare to work with. Do not waste a penny or moment of your time on them, there is far better out there. read more
