Mississippi has some great Welcome Centers. Where other states welcome centers are little more than…read morerest areas, Mississippi tries to put a bit of history in there welcome centers and I have always appreciated the extra effort they put into it. This particular rest area is on Interstate 20 and the next big city you would approach would be Meridian, Mississippi. The carousel horses are something that Meridian put statues up all over the city. Kind of something that the city of Meridian just embraced. The welcome center is well-maintained and there is plenty of parking. The lady behind the desk was extremely friendly and just enhanced my visit with her upbeat and polite personality. All in all, I I would definitely recommend stopping at this welcome center.

IT'S A REST AREA!! OF COURSE I RECOMMEND IT!!! and these ones down here are incredible!! they got all the standard amenities and they're generally super clean or about to get that way and more often than not there's and actual person present who is tasked with keeping the motoring public safe from accostment and annoyance while they are having a rest from motoring... and there's this loop road around back with nicely spaced semi-private accommodations for picnickery with dedicated spots for each... almost as if this were the final destination and not merely a stop on the way to a better place...

I think it was the really low/short stall walls and doors. Didn't feel very private and with wide open doors it seemed a bit vulnerable. A security shack with a guard and cart were up front and there was a button inside to press for security. That said, the abundant awareness of the security made me feel a little less safe in ways. I felt it was unusual for a rest stop and just like it probably was really needed if it was that present. So, glad security is there but I'd surely not go there after dark or take my eyes off my children for even a second.

And the bathrooms are always gross. Stinky and dirty. So yeah for convenience. Blah for the rest.

We had a king room and it was great, modern hotel furniture and plenty of connect for all of your devices. Comfortable chair at the Computer table, large bathroom and granite counters. They also offer a pool and sauna, update weight room, computer work area, laundry room and large eat in area for breakfast in the morning. Also offer two meeting rooms for companies to get their work done. They are also pet friendly and the fee is $25.00 a night, not sure if they max it out after so many days we were just staying over night. Friendly staff at the desk when I checked in felt welcomed when checking in. Will finish up when I have breakfast in the morning, great breakfast good eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles. Our hostess at the breakfast area was very helpful and always present checking on things. Great hotel we will be staying here again on a trip back to our new Home in Texas.

I must have arrived after a morning rush before the cleaning crew hit the bathrooms, because they needed some attention. The employees were friendly and efficient at the counter. This travel stop has a dog walk park and an Arby's as well as an adjacent casino.
