It's over 1200 sq feet and window views of the eau Claire river in both bedrooms and living room. King bedroom has 2 sides of window view of river. Queen bedroom has 1 side window view of downtown. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was nice with daily $30 credit with diamond level. Kids loved large screen TVs in all 3 rooms. Free parking for diamond members. Day 1: Visited Oakwood mall to play bowling at Scheels with son then saw oakwood toy train exhibit. Afterwards my son played claw machine at claw Kraze. Day 2: Visited 4treasures indoor playground with kids and loved the ball pit, ninja course, and arcade room. The Lismore had maker fair at their convention halls next door. My son got a 67 fidget keychain. Then we visited children museum of Eau Claire. Afterwards, we decided to see Christmas lights at Christmas village at Irvine park in Chippewa falls. Day 3: Last day so we revisited 4adventures and also oakwood mall for some bubble tea and more fun with claw machine at Claw Kraze.

It really is located in the heart of Eau Claire with several restaurants, art galleries, a library, and the local Riverwalk. The hotel itself is also attached to a cozy bar called The Dive, a coffee shop called ECDC as well as a beautiful restaurant called the Informalist. If you did not want to venture around Eau Claire, you technically wouldn't have to, Everything is located right at the hotel. We stayed in a one king bedroom and overall it was a clean, comfortable hotel room. My only " complaint" would be that our particular hotel room did not have a view, and our windows looked at a another wall. So we really did not get a whole lot of sunlight but we also weren't in complete darkness the whole time either we just didn't have a view of anything (it was strange). Parking is in the nearby ramp and they validate you for seven dollars a night. *Tip* do not pay for your parking at the ramp. Make sure you go to the desk because your parking is included in your stay if you pay at the ramp, you will end up paying twice. (We almost made that mistake.)

Was on the ground floor on my previous visits. On the second floor last night in a suite room. Sitting area separate from bedroom with fold out couch and kitchenette. Had some minor nuisances, but nothing major. There was a sink in the bedroom that didn't work. Couldn't change the channel on the living room TV. No battery cover on the remote. Checkin specialist was cute. The river of one stars is unwarranted. All faceless with no reviews. High two or low three. It is crawling distance to Ansari's, so three. Hoping they don't make it a homeless shelter as was recently proposed in Dakota County and defeated. Don't kill the businesses around here! Put the homeless in Farmington or Lakeville or maybe north Northfield.

You can also see room numbers not hang out but with a sticky note. All those are understandable. They require you to put a parking slip on the car window dash, so when I asked if I could leave my luggage in the lobby while I went to the car for 2 minutes to put the slip in, I was told no. Then I went to a room where lights did not work. I did get a different room. This room definitely just went through renovation as I found dirty carpets and giant screw about 5inches long in the middle of the carpet. The room did smell like a fresh coat of paint though. I wanted to take a shower but noticed the tub was not draining at all. Despite everything I was taught about germs and sanitation, I used my fingers to pull out a huge wad of hair from the tub. The wad is so big it must have been clogged for at least a month. I am just glad there wasn't any bed bugs. The staff still uses a note book to record all information so service is a quite slow. Just know this place is one star and cheap for a reason.

On Tuesday morning, I needed a jump after I fueled up at SA in Mendota Heights. Craig, from Dick's Valley Service, came to get me going. He tested the battery and was polite and informative. I don't know if any of my questions were stupid, yet he answered them all professionally and with patience. He gave me a quote for a new battery after it was determined that there were no mechanical issues causing the problem (whew - no new alternator!!). The car didn't start on Wednesday morning, and I decided to just bus it. Wasn't in the mood to deal with it before the crack of dawn. I used the AAA app this morning to get a jump so that I could get my vehicle over to my nearby dealership. The shop called to say that Craig was on his way and that he would be there momentarily. He arrived about 10 minutes after I pushed send. I now know that I'd better be out of the shower and ready to go before I report a need for help! I asked if Craig had a battery and he did. The cost was just under $147, which saved me over $40 by not having to go to the dealership. He used some sort of device that kept the presets in my vehicle while he was changing out the battery. Service was quick and Craig is a great guy. He's funny, along with being polite and informative. We had a nice, casual conversation during the process. If you're in need of service, you'll have a smile if Dick's Valley Service shows up because they do it right. They also don't try to sell you something you don't need. I figured that I needed a new battery, yet my schedule wasn't making it easy to get it done before I needed another jump. There's a six-year warranty on the new battery, which suits me just fine. While I hope that I never need to call them again anytime soon, I know that I'll be in good hands.
