Have had multiple car loans with resource one including my current loan but could never get the app to work as many others have stated but I recently went to this branch to get the total payoff of my car and they wouldn't give me a printout or receipt of what's owed. They just told me the amount. Is this normal? Since you guys have only sent me 2 random emailed receipts out of all the years I've been a customer, it's hard to keep track of. Also those receipts don't have the full member number to reset password and try the app again! read more

there commercial division is awful. I've been doing business with this bank for 16yrs and once Erik Hargrove left its really gone downhill. This bank is so unprofessional the number listed on there website for commercial it's set up. they don't return phone calls to interested parties wanting to do business with them. they have harmed my business by their behavior. Previous review stated issues with online banking app. Strangely, each issue I had problems with are ALL updated and now the app works quite well. Also, a terrible experience occurred. I had 13K stolen out of my checking account. In one day. In California (I live in the Dallas Texas area) and the thieves went to four targets and a grocery store and wiped me out. Normally their alarms have caught suspicious transactions but it happened on a banking update/holiday Monday so I suppose it went without triggering any alarm. I only knew about it when I tried to grab a bite to eat that Tuesday. I looked at my account after my debit card was rejected and found to my horror that I was now overdrawn $1500.00! I contacted customer service, a lengthy process of course but after two weeks, things went back to normal and the money was returned. There were issues with phone services, but the on site help could not have been any better and sympathetic to my plight. They covered every fee cause by lack of funds. Nice to have a few people that took it onto themselves to take care of a terrified client and corrected all in a professional manner. Good work guys and gals! read more

I'm in town from Austin. and found myself in need of banking services earlier today. I knew that I could go to a network credit union, but was unsure of how to handle what I needed. I shouldn't have worried. Resource One's staff took great care of me. The teller answered my questions, laughed at my dumb jokes, and was just generally pleasant to interact with. I quit big banks nearly a year ago after a horrible experience with an institution whose initials may or may not be B.O.A., My home credit union took me in and nursed me back to health. Everything I need, they take care of without issue. It was nice to experience that same kind of care and thoughtfulness at another institution, even though I'm not one of their members. If you are looking for a credit union I highly recommend Resource One Credit Union. Any time I've had questions or concerns they've always been patient thorough and friendly. Every branch member and call center rep is always polite and does everything they can to assist you with anything you need. Even when they are unable to help they provide a reasonable explanation and try to provide alternative options and resources. They've worked with me on every loan I've had with them giving me better interest rates than any other company I've used. Jason the branch manager in Cedar Hill take extreme pride in what he does while also keeping the moral of his employees above and beyond your typical bank. I've never seen anyone in the branch in a bad mood even in difficult situations. Jason and his team show they truly care about their customers by taking an actual interest in how each customer is doing and not just treating them like and account number. Resource One prides on being resourceful and knowledgeable on their products. This is NOT the case when I visited the credit union location in Cedar Hill. After waiting in the drive thru lane after 30 minutes, I finally was able to do my transaction. I was poorly greeted with no apology for waiting in line. I needed to do a cash advance from my card and transfer to my checking account. The guy helping me, Jason, asked if I knew there was going to be a transaction fee associated with the cash advance. I asked him if that was new because I read that there was no cash advance fee. He said yes there was at 18%. WHAT 18% fee? Even the big banks only charge between 3-5%. He then recounted his story and said that I would be paying 18% on the amount overtime and said if I would be interested in other loan products that would be at a lesser interest. I'm thinking to myself, " NO I DONT. Just do my transaction and let me get on my way. I'm already frustrated after waiting 30 minutes. ". I think Resource One should invest in more training and less salesmanship approach. Definitely thinking of switching financial institutions. read more
