We stayed in the villa which had perfect wifi, nice bedroom sizes (bed kinda felt like a cot though) and a kitchen with cookware/utensils/wine glasses etc. We had dinner here one night where I had my favorite gnocchi of the whole trip (melts in your mouth) and their breakfast spread was really delicious with cheese, meats, and the freshest juiciest tomatoes I've ever had. Besides all of these wonderful features, the price was also unbeatable. Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for the curvy roads and we had rented a huge SUV (Italy is not made for big cars!!), so that made our stay more stressful than it had to be because I feared anytime we had to drive / leave the premises for the winery, dinner etc. The staff was unbelievably generous and understanding when we adjusted our plans to only stay 2 rather than 4 nights, and we could not be more grateful. We were sad to leave because the villa was the perfect size for our group of 5, and the hotel was perfect besides the distance from our plans / roads. I'd recommend staying here if you are looking to relax and stay on premises for most of the weekend; it has a very quiet, homey bed+breakfast feel that we loved.

The most beautiful views, great food and very nice room. We stayed in the villa in the back of the building. 2 floors, with 3 potential beds, it was really nice and comfortable. The pool area was very clean, very pretty and a nice size pool. The restaurant at the hotel was one of our favorite meals we had. Limited selection of food but a changing menu (daily), they want you to order ahead of time, and they have 3 course or 4 course option. We were not that hungry and only ordered 2-3 courses per person and they adjusted the price accordingly. Another amazing job by management. If you are brave enough for the roads and don't mind driving 1 hr + to any of the highlights of Tuscany this hotel is more than a treat.

Gabriel gave us interesting information about the Castle, which was built in the 11th century by Benedict monks! He showed us interesting things such as a hidden room where people can spy into the dining room through a hole in a painting, an underground tunnel, and a theater with its original backdrop from 1742. Don't forget to take a few pictures at the giant bench which is a few minutes' walk away. The view is gorgeous and the grounds are well maintained. For the tasting portion, we really enjoy the high quality of wine. Gabriel was also nice enough to let us sample a few other wines beyond the ones included in tasting, such as the dessert wine and the whites. Quite a few of us bought some bottles to take home. There are plenty of wineries in the area and we had visited quite a few of them during our three weeks in Tuscany. This is definitely one of the better ones, for the castle's history, the view, and the quality of wine.

Breakfast is pretty basic, without any walnuts or hazelnuts for the cereal. However, the scrambled eggs are real, not reconstituted. Dining outside on the patio is lovely. Asked reception about this and the there is a card that needs to be inserted in a slit to keep the power on. The maids pulled the card when they left and left Us in the dark... No one said a word about this at check in. Unprofessional. Next up I tried to take a shower and found lukewarm water. Disappointing. The shower controls have a safety button to keep one from blasting hot water but even a full tilt the water is just lukewarm. Unprofessional.

This place is about 30 minutes outside of Florence which we made that drive twice, once to explore the city and once to do a guided wine tour that left from Florence. The sunset here was beautiful, the room was clean, and the staff was so nice. We got massages in the spa as well and they were incredible. If you want to feel like you're experiencing the beauty of Tuscany I would recommend this place to anyone.

We visited in November and had no idea (1) how cold it would be (LOL), or (2) that it was the off-season which meant the hotel was basically empty. Don't mind if I do. As Titanium Bonvoy members, we were upgraded to the Penthouse and that alone made the stay unforgettable. There's nothing quite like waking up and stepping onto your own balcony to sweeping views of the Tuscan landscape. The penthouse itself was lovely and incredibly spacious. That said, the hotel is a bit dated. We didn't mind at all, but there are small things that could clearly be improved: the shower was tricky to turn on because a piece was out of place, the towels were on the smaller side and not the best quality, and the heat pumps could be questionably loud at times. And yet... we still loved the hotel. Even if you don't stay in the penthouse (that wasn't our plan either, just a very happy surprise), the views are dramatic from pretty much everywhere on the property. The hotel is expansive, remote (very much so, you'll definitely need a car), and the staff is truly incredible. Special shoutout to Alice, who was amazing, though honestly, everyone we interacted with was great. On one rainy day, a staff member literally gave me her personal umbrella (despite my insisting she didn't have to) so I wouldn't get soaked. Because we visited during the off-season, we didn't use many of the hotel's amenities, and breakfast was a bit underwhelming, though that may very well be seasonal. All in all, we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend Il Ciocco Renaissance!
