Adam's mastering mix was superior to Abbey Road's Grammy Award winning engineer's version. Adam has a great ear for sound and knows how to translate his client's vision into reality. Best of all, Adam cares about his clients and has excellent customer service. My sessions are always on time and I NEVER GET BUMPED!! If I could, I'd give Reeds 10 stars. They have a unique gift for choosing the best tenants, so you'll always feel safe at this establishment. They offer a water fountain and free arcade games as a bonus to their uniquely awesome studio sound recording rooms. It's truly amazing to be here in person and to actually witness these beautiful artists making one of a kind music for God. I enjoyed my time here immensely. Sadly I wasn't able to purchase an 8-Bit Castle hoodie as I had planned (I've been wanting one for several years now) as there were no more available for purchase (let alone one in my size). Additionally, Evan Carr is the individual responsible for bringing back Surge soda (a Cocoa Cola brand) and sadly the iconic Surge soda machine was no longer distributing Surge soda so I'm afraid there may be an issue with the brand at this point and if so that's devastating. Honestly the establishment could use some tender loving care in the form of a deep cleaning and some additional loving care in the form of restocking 8-Bit Castle merchandise etc. That being said, I couldn't say enough great things about this establishment as I know first hand how difficult it is to begin and continue to run an establishment (I'm a fellow entrepreneur) and can attest to the wonderful work that they've done here. Visiting this establishment was a dream come true and a gift from God for me as I'm an avid iAMsterdam (Jason Merritt) and eMagination (Evan Carr) fan. You can often find music by eMagination on Apple Music or iTunes (if I'm not mistaken). Currently you can get a free trial membership of Apple Music on any Apple device that offers the Apple Music App. If you get the chance, please don't hesitate to check out the music offered by eMagination, my personal favorite song created by this talented Indie artist is called "I was a Rainbow, You Were Color Blind". His sound is the epitome of beautiful Christian based ambiance music, and you definitely won't regret checking out Evan's beautiful songs. Sadly you currently can't find any music created by iAMsterdam available on Apple Music. iAMsterdam typically works with other talented and famous artists and doesn't release his own music to the public asid from sound clips and tid bits that you can hear by checking out his website www.iAMsterdammusic.com or you can sample some of his music by visiting his Facebook page found under iAMsterdam. He's a fun and professional to collaborate with, and I'm beyond happy with how my song sounds as a finished product. I've been producing on Ableton for a few years, and I was specifically looking to work with someone in studio to learn and improve my mixes in general. I spent a few hours with Chris in his Oakland studio and learned so much during that time. It was one of the most informative sessions I've had since I started making music! Chris shared numerous different techniques and workflow tips with me while making suggestions and helping refine my track. It's clear that he's an expert in Ableton, but is also generous in sharing his knowledge. After our in-person session, we collaborated for another week or so via phone/e-mail through the mastering process. Throughout this process, he was thorough, patient, and gave invaluable feedback and recommendations - all while communicating effectively. Something I really appreciate about working with Chris is that he makes suggestions and gives honest feedback, but also makes sure that he respects the original vision for what the track should sound like. He makes suggestions but never pushes or makes it feel like you're straying or altering your original track. I look forward to working with Chris again! Highly recommend Mothership Studio.
