Studio One is a great recording place because Willis wants to go far and beyond. My son who is a college student made a couple of video recordings last week, and Willis put the honest best service in creating videos. He accepted last minutes Saturday night recording without charging any extra, and he tried to change the audio settings to fit our needs without any charge. He opened a studio 30 minutes early than our appointed time just let my son warm-up and start recording immediately. He is a man of integrity, and I wholeheartedly recommend this studio. Depends on what you are looking for. My review is for more of the chinese group. If you are thinking of recording your own music, this is where you go. They also have singing classes, some regular singing events every month, and sometimes a few big events. I like how they control the number of the members joining as well, so it won't be too crowded. I took a few singing lessons and recorded what I've sang with my phone, and it's fun hearing your own improvements. lol read more

I just made my first music album at Studio One. Without the help from Studio One, it wouldn't be possible! I received a prophecy to publish my first worship album about a year ago. I wrote the original songs and found talented musicians to work with, but where and how do we make a legit CD? Studio One was truly a godsend when I was in the middle of a wilderness! The owner Cindy gave me a more than reasonable price to begin with when she learned that this CD would not be for sale, but would be given for free for gospel's sake. That was really a great relief because we were not financially supported by any organizations. Thank you, Cindy, for making our dream come true! The mixing artist DB was another angel to me! The area we are working together is video recording, live video imax projection, DVD post-production, TV commercial production and TV wall. The video crew, Willis, is very professional to help prevent unnecessary issues to deal with later during the recording time. Post processing is also amazing - they are mastering Final Cut and After Effect. The audio expert, Kan, is very knowledgeable, and know all the tricks to help you save the cost. If you ever think of hosting your event at Flint Center. He will the right person to consult with. I did not have a chance to use their recoding facility but have seen tons of people here for professional recoding, take singing class, all the way to record your own singing for fun. My daughter needs to submit a video/audio recording for her college application music supplemental material. I was originally trying to do it myself, but daughter's music teacher suggested that we use a professional recording studio. I went on yelp and searched, Studio One was one of the choices. I decided to give Studio One a try. From the start of making appointment till we received the final finished video/audio clip, Mr. Willis Lin provided us very high-quality professional services. Since I never visited the studio before the day of recording, I asked very detailed questions about the piano in the studio. Mr. Lin promised that he would also tune the piano to make sure the piano is in tune for our piano accompanist. The sound and video production are very high quality. My daughter said the recording sounded better than she actually played. Mr. Lin also worked very closely with me to make sure I am happy with the cover, and the title location of cover for the video/audio clip. In the end we receive a very high-quality video/audio recording and it is just beautiful. We had great experience working with Mr. Lin and would definitely go back when we need music recording in the future. read more

DO NOT record here. I never write reviews for anything, but seeing that all the reviews for Studio One were written a while ago, I think sharing my recent experience would be helpful. This studio has always been my go-to for competition or portfolio recordings. The previous owners were very professional, kind, and accommodating. This all changed when they changed owners. The audio quality is honestly terrible -- it sounded like something was covering my mouth, muffling my sound. The microphone also picked up the smallest sounds, such as my tonguing (I play a woodwind instrument) and any tiny movements. I ended up recording in my teacher's house, and the quality was SO much better. Aside from this, the new owner is very unprofessional and irresponsible. The owner was busy teaching a private lesson when I got there, and the recording room wasn't even set up yet. This cut into my hour session, where he spent 20-30 mins rearranging things and testing the sound. My piano accompanist had to leave almost right after, so I wasn't able to make up the wasted time. The owner suggested that I come back within a week to continue recording, but he implied that he would charge the same amount next time. I couldn't come back because both my accompanist and I didn't have time and the recording for the competition was due soon. Quite frankly, I wouldn't ever return to this studio even if I had time. In the end, I decided not to keep both of my complete takes because of the terrible sound quality. $180 down the drain -- $160 for the hour session and $20 for using the piano. The new owner offered no compensation for the short session and his unprofessional attitude. There is no way I would throw away $360 for such poor service. I strongly advise anyone looking for a recording studio to look elsewhere. Save your money, time, and energy. There are more responsible professionals out there. read more

The CD sounded beautiful, the professional staff was very helpful and friendly, and the price was much more reasonable than I anticipated. Studio One has a nice recording studio for chamber ensemble groups and string quartets. However, I was most impressed with the staff. Everyone was helpful and pleasant to work with. It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere. In fact, at the end of the night when I realized that I locked my keys in the car, the owner offered his AAA card and called somone to help me unlock it.
