Very poor quality of work. The metal roof that was installed ended up in the oak tree on our lawn after the wind storm in Dec 2023. The strapping was NAILED NOT SCREWED! Very poor customer service. Jason is very rude and doesn't communicate well. The metal shees weren't trimmed correctly around the chimney and stink pipe. And doesn't back up the work they do. Probably gonna see him in court. read more

Jason and the team at Residential Roofers are head and shoulders above any other contractors we've dealt with in the 20 years we've been here. Our roof was leaking something awful, with the hole in our kitchen ceiling--and its damage--growing bigger with every passing shower. I called around 8 roofers that were recommended to us, and either they didn't bother calling back, and if they did, they didn't when they said they would ... no explanation, no courtesy call, nada. I did a search on Yelp!, and there was Residential Roofers, with a few very good reviews. I left a message with them Saturday afternoon, figuring they'd call me back the next week, if at all. Much to my surprise, less than 20 minutes later, the phone rang, and it was Jason asking how he could help! Long story short, he and one of his crew members came back that very same day (Jason noticed on the weather report that heavy rain was predicted for that SATURDAY evening, so he wanted to be sure it wouldn't affect the house), tarp in tow, and put a stopgap to the gushing gash in our ceiling. About a week later, the team came and did a phenomenal job replacing the roof. Each and every member of the crew was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, thorough, hard-working and on time. And so clean! I didn't find a single shingle or sliver of wood on our lawn when the job was complete. I give Residential Roofers a 5 out of 5 rating, and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

NOT a legitimate business you can trust. Yes, they may do the job but it stops after that. Stopped replying to us after we asked for an itemized receipt for insurance reimbursement. Either meaning he just makes up the price or just doesn't feel like supporting his clients after he gets his money. read more

Some of the snow guards that Residential Roofers installed on my roof a couple of years ago, came off in a storm this past winter and I called them several times and they did not call back. I contacted BBB and Jason did call back after receiving their letter, it has been over a month since that conversation and Jason again is not returning my calls to fix my roof. Do not hire them!! read more

This past summer our family got together and hired Residential Roofers of Hampden Maine to fix some trouble areas around our elderly parents' home. Their job was to do some work to the roof of the garage, replace the lead flashing around the fireplace chimney on the house, and fix a leak that had developed around the oil furnace chimney in the garage. The total price was around $3500. We were dismayed to learn that the garage chimney was still leaking badly when it rained (this was after they had supposedly finished the job), we called them to let them know that the leak hadn't been fixed yet. They sent out one of their workers who went up and applied caulking to the chimney and said that we should be all set, but the next time it rained it was still leaking. We immediately texted the guy who had initially set the job up for us and told him about our problem, he responded back and said that we need a chimney cap to keep the rain out. If that was the case, why didn't they tell us that in the first place, or when they came back the second time for that matter? We sent him pictures to show that the rain was leaking around the OUTSIDE of the chimney (this can be seen in the photos I've added to my review on Google) and not from within. So how is a chimney cap going to stop that? He texted back saying that "It is clearly not leaking around the chimney and has nothing to do with our work". In other words, too bad for you, we got our money and were not coming back. We are currently speaking to an attorney to see if we can find a resolution to this problem in court. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews that may negatively impact someone's business, but fair is fair. If your going to charge us top dollar to do a job, we expect that job to be completed. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.... anyone else. read more
