The hotel is fine. It is your standard Marriott property. The breakfast is solid enough with enough options. The rooms are big and water pressure in the shower great. But what really kills me about this property is the fact that they charge to park. It's not downtown ATL. It's suburban land near malls and more malls but they think somehow they can charge people 10 dollars a day to park there. Is there a gate? Or a booth? No it's just a dumb parking lot and an easy way for the hotel to squeeze more money out of people. Thanks really appreciated. If I am here for work fine, but on my own dime, no thank you. read more

This is a pretty excellent hotel to stay at in the Duluth area. The rooms are very spacious, and because it is a suite, you really have a home like experience with the full kitchen and living room. The bathroom is very spacious with the walk-in shower and the bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash mounted on the shower wall. The bed and the sofa bed were both pretty comfortable. The sofa bed had a surprisingly decent mattress. Breakfast is your standard hot continental breakfast with several choices such as biscuit sandwiches and pancakes. This hotel needs updating, I traveled to Duluth GA for a graduation, upon entering my room I notice a hole in the King Bedroom and a broken lamp shade. The reason I give it a one, is the uncleaned areas I found. The little sofa table had something spilled down the side, and house keeping missed it. I uses my Clorox wipes so I wiped down before using and did not take pictures. My first night I was exhausted from my 7 hrs drive so I missed what am going to share in picture. When I discovered it the second night after my graduation again, way too tired to do anything, my family sleeping And I do not want to lay in the bed. The night stand was filthy, and down the wall and the floor looked like it has not been cleaned in years. The vents were dirty and the ceiling stained from the dirty vents. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. I shared a room with 2 other girls and we had plenty of room. There was a full kitchen along with a living room area, bedroom, large bathroom and a vanity area. There was also a large desk and plenty of outlets which is a plus! My friends and I were in town for a wedding and all 3 of us girls had our own area to get ready in which was awesome. Also, let me tell you that their service is great. I accidentally blew a fuse while using my curling irons and so we had to call the front desk for help. They immediately sent someone up to help and it was fixed within 20 minutes tops. They also have complimentary breakfast which had a nice spread of food (waffles, eggs, sausages, Greek yogurt). I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. read more

Not Bad at all, Overall it was clean and mostly up to date Branding, great location for local events at the arena, easy access to interstate to travel into Atlanta or make you way out of town. Some decent food options in the same parking area of hotel. our stay was good, nice and quite and overall good. only one side note that was a negative, the bed had been pretty worn with a large sag in it, not something to be expected. I previously traveled a couple hundred nights a year and this would have been an issues if long term. read more

I was pretty shocked by the rating here. This hotel was the best hotel I stayed at during my holiday trip across the US. The rooms were very spacious, with a full kitchenette. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My first night at a new hotel is typically fraught with sleeplessness, but I had absolutely no issues here from start to finish. The bathroom was very spacious, with an open shower (I love this concept), and modern fixtures. Wifi internet was more than acceptable. Housekeeping was extremely timely and neat. The only issue I have is that they would often turn on the AC down to 65. It's December. It's 58 degrees and raining outside. Why? I had to heat the room back up to 75 every time I got back in the evening. I'm wiling to overlook it though since the rest of my experience there was fantastic. I would love to stay here again the next time I'm in the Atlanta area. read more

Besides the perfect location the Residence Inn is a perfect place for short term or long term stay. The rooms are comfortable with all the basic amenities, full kitchen, living room, comfortable bed, etc. The manager Justin is wonderful. He was fully knowledgeable, accommodating, professional and incredibly helpful in getting the perfect room for my senior parents who have special needs such as needing a shower bar, having an open floor plan, being close to the elevator as well as the parking lot. We moved twice and he made it seemless and all with a smile. He is an asset to the Residence Inn. read more

Pretty fast check-in/out and room was clean. But bathroom smells like colorox which was got me a headache lil bit. And free breakfast buffet was great. It was lil busy when I was down there but staffs keep bring the food. There is out door swimming pool and BBQ area. When I was there people had lil girls bday party so I was lil bit loud and didn't enjoyed time at the pool. read more

We stayed here for one Saturday night while my son had a soccer tournament in the area. I think the hotel is slightly expensive and our room (#408) was very worn. The bathroom ceiling was cracked and chipped above the shower. The clothes hook on the back of the bathroom door was broken off. The bedroom carpet was worn and had a "bald spot". Both TV remotes at weak batteries or some other problem. It didn't bother us, because we were up early, but breakfast ended on Sunday morning at 9:30 am. This would not be good for anyone wishing to sleep-in during the weekend. I think the room descriptions on the Marriott app for this hotel are really vague. Better room descriptions are needed about this property on the app. I'm a SPG guy, so Marriott Gold by default, and I don't think Marriott Residence Inn treats Gold status very well. No little perks like complimentary bottled water, etc. at this property. I think I'd much rather stay at a pure Starwood property or at a Hilton property (i.e. Hampton Inn) as I think those brands appreciate loyalty better. Positives at this property: The lobby and breakfast area were really clean and well kept. The gym was large, comfortable, and nice windows. We didn't use the outdoor pool but that area looked really nice. The front desk folks were very pleasant. read more

This is a nice hotel, clean, the staff has been very helpful and kind. They have a free happy hour with beer and wine, it's okay but you have to remember it is free. How can you really differentiate one Marriott hotel from another? It's the staff! We were in town for a wedding, and had family and friends also staying there. From the front desk staff, to passing the maintenance and housekeeping folks in the hallways, the one overriding experience was how engaging and helpful everybody is at this establishment! The manager helped with an issue where I had 2 different reservations and was going to need to move to a different room. He handled it promptly, politely and definitely to my satisfaction. Everyone at this hotel has been amazingly friendly. The bed was one of the more comfortable beds I have stayed in while travelling and I slept great. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel and I have had a lot of subpar experiences with hotels in this area. I will move my loyalty to this hotel from now on when I am in Duluth. read more

This is a nice hotel but some of the staff has been very rude and unaccommodating. Now, there is a woman named Liz, she serves the dinners on Monday-Wednesday. This woman is an Angel! Extremely disappointed in my stay here at the Residence Inn by Marriott. Marina did my check-in and told me I'd be in a spacious suite with a living room, kitchen, and large stand up shower. Unfortunately that "suite" was a handicap room. I don't understand why Marina would give me a handicapped room when I'm clearly not handicapped and a rewards member. My reservation was for three nights. The following morning when I took a shower, the standup shower made the entire restroom flood with water all the way across the restroom to the toilet. When I went downstairs to ask if I could be switched to a different room because of the flooding, Marina initially told me that the flooding was normal for that room. I told her that an entire restroom flooding from a shower is not normal, but she continued to try and convince me otherwise. Once she couldn't convince me that a shower flooding the restroom was normal, Marina then told me "well, your company is paying for the room anyway." What a slap in the face. I had to tell Marina that it does not matter if my company is paying for the room because I am the patron having the negative experience. Marina then told me "I'm not going to argue with you anymore" which completely baffled me because I was not yelling at her nor threatening her, just simply stating the issue with my room and hoping for some type of resolution. At the end of our conversation, Marina had the maintenance man put Drano down the drain. She then told me they were completely booked for the night and would move me to another room the next morning. In fact she told me she would be working the next morning and would switch my room for me. Fast forward to the following morning, I took my usual morning shower. Although this time the shower didn't flood the entire restroom, it did still flood enough to still be gross and make me uncomfortable. When I went to the lobby to see about having my room changed, Marina was not there. Once again I would be spending the night is this room. On top of that, there was lipstick stains and boogers on the walls of my room which means the cleaning crew cleaned my room multiple time without cleaning the lipstick stains off the restroom door and the boogers off the wall. It makes me wonder what other areas of my room were not adequately cleaned. To make a long story short, I can't wait to leave this place and be back in my own bed and bathroom. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel like I have in this Residence Inn. If you're thinking about staying here, I suggest you try the Courtyard Marriott across the parking lot. It's newer, cleaner, and my co-workers staying there absolutely love it. This Residence Inn by Marriott is not worth the headache or the flooding shower in the handicap room, smh. From the time we checked into this morning preparing to checkout, every single person who works here has shown exemplary professionalism, compassion and patience. Droves of people escaping Florida with elderly parents, babies and their dear pets are entering 24/7 and we are met with smiles and kindness. The rooms are beautiful, quiet and clean. The property is very, very nice. Our coffee machine didn't have a lid, making it impossible to make much needed coffee. Within 5 minutes of calling Guest Services and talking with Jeff, a new coffee pot with two full cups of coffee were delivered by Jeff to our room. I know he had to be busy - yet he took the time to look me in the eye and ask if we were all ok. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. read more

For a Marriott, they are just average. The room was very spacious, lots of room for a family of four, & more than enjoy space for a business traveler. The kitchen is well stocked. It was Feb 14th, so we didn't get to use the pool. The breakfast was cold, & they need to do a better job of cleaning the rooms. read more

This is a relatively new Residence Inn...and the worst service of any I have ever stayed in. We arrived on Saturday for a 5 night stay. We had 2 rooms...one for our elderly parents & the other for my sis, niece & I. Here is where Residence Inn fell short. 1. Housekeeping - Awful! Upon cbeckin, there were 3 towels. hand towels & wash cloths. Day 2, it was only 2. When I called to ask for extras, I was informed there was a shortage of wash cloths. A shortage...this is Marriott. You can afford to have a surplus of these amenities. The Lady at the front desk found one, but I had to go get it. By the 3rd day, housekeeping only left 1! We constantly had to call or go downstairs for something. No sheets or blanket for sleep sofa, no toilet paper left after there was none. 2. There was coffee stain on kitchen floor when we 1st checked in. The hallway floors were never vacummed. 3. Room keys - Every day, we had t wereo get the keys re-keyed & it wasn't bc they were near credit cards. Apparently, the keys were only programmed for 1 day & every time we got it re-keyed, was only for 2hrs. And bc we had 2 rooms...each time one of us received a new key, it cancelled the others. In summary...this was not what we are accustomed to when staying at Marriott. We were extremely disappointed. Housekeeping needs training & so does the front desk. Maybe a new manager would help...but I would not stay here nor recommend to anyone else until they rectify these issues. Interestingly enough...we were told they had received a lot of complaints about housekeeping. but no improvement. read more

Horrrific! The rooms was filthy, literally black small curly hairs everywhere. I even made the mistake of thinking the cup would be clean, but of course the cups had nasty little black hairs in them. My husband called the manager and had house keeping come up to clean and the woman in charge of house keeping was extremely rude and mocked us. This place makes dorm living look like a five star resort. It's filthy!!! read more

This is the cheapest Marriott in the United States. So cheap is the manager (and whoever built this building, who I must suspect is the same slumlord) that he only has one wine opener in the entire building, and when the up arrow broke on the elevator, he just used a down arrow instead.
