When I contacted the front…read moredesk that evening, I was told there was nothing they could do until 7am the following morning and that no rooms were available for a transfer -- despite two rooms showing available on the hotel's own booking site that same night. The next morning I had to initiate every single follow-up myself. Maintenance did not arrive at the promised 7am. I called at 7:30am and again at 8:08am before anyone came up. In between those calls I received a callback from a staff member who asked if I needed a plunger, making clear she had no knowledge of my situation despite it being documented the night before. Staff gave me conflicting information about room availability multiple times throughout the morning. Maintenance eventually confirmed something was clearly wrong with the toilet and we were moved to another room. When I spoke with the GM, her initial response was that she could not issue a refund and offered only loyalty points. A partial discount was only offered after I repeatedly pushed back, asked to speak with the owner, and made clear I intended to escalate further. No resolution was offered proactively at any point -- every step required me to advocate for myself. The room itself and the new room were fine. The issue was entirely with how the situation was handled -- poor internal communication, no proactive outreach, and a management team that had to be pressured into offering even a partial resolution for a non-functional toilet.

Both elevators worked (which seems to be a rarity at other hotels) and it was decently quiet in the evenings. Great water pressure in the shower. Standard IHG (dove) toiletries mounted to the walls. Breakfast was quite good!

I did the eCheck-in and so I was able to get the digital key and didn't need to stop by the front desk. My key was ready in time for when I got there. The bed did its job, the shower seemed a little out and outdated. The water spout was crooked (am I asking for too much?). Environment This was located close to the Gas South Arena. It was around a 15 mins walk which makes it very reasonable, but it can get hot during the summer... so maybe not that convenient. There is free parking as well. Niceness of the staff I didn't have much interactions with the staff since I checked in on the app. Upon checkout I did talk to the staff and it was minimal interactions. Dollar It was very reasonably priced. There is also breakfast available which seems like a continental buffet. Yes? If I have a concert at gas south, I would stay here again yes.

Oh that I've been for this level of hotel, Very spacious rooms, newly updated, clean very kind Staff at the front desk love everything about it so far. From the moment…read moreyou walk through the doors, you're hit with an intense mix of heavily scented cleaner and air freshener. It's not subtle--it's overpowering to the point that it made my eyes water and caused intensely painful headache. The room itself was even worse. The odor was so strong it triggered a headache and nausea, making it incredibly difficult to relax or get any rest--especially frustrating after arriving already sleep-deprived. What added to the experience was the lack of clear or confident communication from staff. I received multiple explanations for the smell--air freshener, cleaning products, even the floors--none of which inspired confidence or resolution. The room also lacked proper ventilation, leaving no way to escape the lingering fumes. Beyond that, the overall experience continued to fall short. The vibe felt off, my room key repeatedly failed to work from outside due to what I was told was a broken door, and parking comes at an additional $9/day. The noise level is bonkers. They said they were full. They stated I would be on the top floor and stocked with coffee and blankets for the bed. As seen by the photos, neither was confirmed or delivered. In contrast, the Hilton next door offers free parking and a much more comfortable, odor-free environment. Overall, this stay was disappointing and far from relaxing. I would not choose to stay here again. - signed an elite member staying on the road 80-90% of the month

I arrived early and Amaryon was very nice and checked me in without any issues. I was expecting a your room is not ready. Instead, I was checked in within 10 mins or less. She got me on the top floor near the elevator without me having to ask. She saw my profile and accommodated me based on that. The room is clean and again, exactly like the picture. Whenever I needed anything, within 10-15mins of my call to the front desk it was delivered. There is a really nice lobby bar. Going out on Friday night I saw it was packed with not only hotel guests but locals. The same thing on Saturday. It's a hope spot it seems. I observe both bartenders. The male on Friday in one of my pics and female on Saturday. They were both attentive and engaging with the guests. I didn't need parking, but there are lots of parking and the location is across for the Sugar Hill Mall if you need to grab something or just take a walk. I like to check out at the desk. Leaving on Sunday Komal checked me out. It was very early because I had to catch my flight. She worked overnight and was still friendly. I asked her to take a few pics of me she entertained my request without hesitation. I have this hotel saved as a fav now and will stay again when I come to see family.

At check-in, the staff member on duty was unwelcoming and barely communicated with us. The elevator had a strong unpleasant odor, and our room smelled as well. We found hair on the bed sheets and towels, and several pillowcases and towels had yellow and black stains. Breakfast was acceptable on the first morning and improved slightly on the second and third days. However, the housekeeping service was extremely poor. We requested room service for three consecutive days, but no one came. On the fifth day, a housekeeper finally arrived only after we made approximately five requests that same day. Only one staff member made a genuine effort to help us. She provided extra towels, toiletries, and clean bed sheets, which we had to change ourselves. Overall, the service was very poor, and the stay was not worth the price. The only positive aspect was the location. Based on this experience, we would not stay at this property again.

However, at checkout, we received a statement showing an $80 charge for breakfast. I explained the situation to the front desk staff, but they denied ever saying that breakfast was included and told us to speak with the manager--who was not available at the time. Since we had to catch a flight, we left and later called the hotel multiple times to speak with the manager, who continued to be unavailable. So, we disputed the charge through our credit card company. We eventually received a survey from Marriott, where we left a review describing our experience. Only then did the manager email us, essentially implying that we were too stupid to understand the difference between "available" and "included." In her email, she claimed that her staff said breakfast was available, and that we misunderstood that to mean it was included. If you're planning to stay at this hotel, I highly recommend recording any conversations about complimentary services. Otherwise, you may be charged later and told the offer was never made--and that you simply misunderstood or weren't smart enough to get it.
