I called Juan on Sunday to request a clear out service to pick up the numerous bags and boxes from the rooms we cleared. Not only was he able to come out the next morning, he was also able to clear out most of the backyard that also needed to ultimately be cleared as well all for a very reasonable price we agreed upon in advance without any additional or surprise fees. I figured that I would just fill up my backyard and then borrow a friend's truck and clear out the mess myself. Once I realized that there was just too much for me to do myself I turned to craigslist for help which in turn led me to yelp. I was able to request a quote from 3 different companies and Mr. HaulAway (Alex I believe?) replies the very next day. I texted over pictures of my mess and also let him know that there was a steel bathtub underneath all of the junk and he still gave me the best quote and the fastest estimate of completion (the next day). The next day I received a text from Sergio saying that they would be at my place at 3:00. At 3:00 I received a text from Ben saying they were running about 10 minutes late. At 3:13 Sergio and Ben showed up, I opened my gate and with no hesitation they dug in! Around 3:45 I get a call saying "hey, there's a bathtub in here, it may cost extra" so I go outside and show the guys the text where I told Alex about the tub and the total that he gave me and the guys went straight back to work, no problem. I clearly asked the crew multiple times to prioritize one specific area. They acknowledged each time, but ultimately left it uncollected, saying the truck was full. I then asked if they could at least bag the remaining trash and move it aside, which they again agreed to--but left without doing. I understand capacity limits, but better communication and follow-through are needed. Hopefully this helps improve future service consistency.
