Just discovered we are paying over $100 more a year than a relative who has the same type of subscription. They would not adjust the rate. I was told everyone pays different rates because of promotions offered. Yet our relative is a long time customer, as we are, no promotion rate. The billing department is not local. Could not be directed to a person with authority in Springfield. So sad to see customer loyalty means nothing. read more

I'm old fashioned and like reading a paper newspaper. It's easy to see why newspapers are going away though. There is no such thing as customer service anymore. I counted, at one point last year I had 25 of 27 deliveries missed. Not delivered, missed. It's gotten better, but it's sad when a 70% delivery rate is a huge improvement. It should be 100%. Then when I call in to report a missing paper there is not the courtesy of talking to a person. First, you have to listen to a message telling you that they have a website. Really??? That's a news flash there. If you didn't waste my time with that message I would have had no idea that a business in the 21st century has a website. Then you have to listen to endless menu options before you can get to a person. You can't press "0" to get to a person. After all, they couldn't waste more of your time if they allowed that. No, you have to listen to all the options before making a choice to bring you to the next menu. It's sad how truly awful customer service has become. read more

Horrible Billing Department and Customer Service. They keep suspending my parents subscription that is paid for. Trying to get it resolved is a nightmare. I was told last week it was a coding error that was supposedly resolved. Once they changed to the new billing system nothing posts correctly. No longer send bills like they did before. Keep promising they will but have not so far. Used to get a 7 day bill and a Sunday only bill. The billing was supposed to be changed to 7 day billing in October. The service has been suspended three times so far because the billing department and customer service cannot get their act together. I have repeatedly called to get this resolved but to no avail. The subscription was suspended today. And called customer service was no help. read more

This paper is not very good.. It's fine when it comes to reporting news but the critics you have are TERRIBLE.. I'm the best in the 413. I'm the true 413 review.. You want a REAL critic then contact me.. I won't charge you that much but the paper business is failing. People want something fresh and new.. Someone HONEST. Something they never seen before.. That's me.. The people you have judge food are ridiculous who stay 50/50 all the time.. I really don't care if a pizza place has a "desert menu" I just want to know if a place is any good or not.. But the reviews are awful.. Now my movie reviews should be in the local paper since @BestCriticEver (me) is one of the best critics in United States right now and I live 2 towns away from you!!!!
