The Republic Venue - Sherman Oaks, CA We chose The Republic Venue in Sherman Oaks for our son's wedding on July 26, 2026, and I have to say--we could not have made a better choice. We originally discovered The Republic on Instagram, and we immediately loved the vibe and atmosphere they showcased. That led to setting up a meeting with Hovik, the Director, and from our very first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. They had a lot of ideas for the wedding--everything from the bride and groom's entrance, the groomsmen and ring bearers, the music and DJ playlist, the guest experience, and all the little details that go into putting together an event for more than 150 guests. Hovik listened to everything we had in mind and helped organize it into a format that actually made sense. He gave us the information we needed, explained what we needed to focus on, and made sure we understood what The Republic would handle. As the wedding got closer, we stayed in communication with Hovik and continued finalizing the details. Then came the food tasting. WOW. The tasting alone gave us a preview of what their guests were going to experience. Wave after wave of food came out--smoked salmon, carrot and cucumber salad, couscous, grilled shrimp, beautiful puff pastries, caviar and so much more. Then came the meats. The grilled Wagyu was absolutely incredible--tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best steaks I've personally had. The mesquite-marinated smoked chicken was also amazing, and the lamb and grilled marinated shrimp were outstanding baked fish, . And then there were the desserts. What really impressed us was that the tasting wasn't just about the food. It showed us the level of service and attention to detail that the guests would receive on the actual wedding night. And they delivered. The Republic Venue was absolutely beautiful. The lighting and visual effects were incredible and completely transformed the atmosphere. They had photos of the bride and groom displayed throughout the venue on the screens, and combined with the lighting, it felt like we were watching a movie. The wedding ceremony was held on the rooftop, followed by cocktail hour and then the reception--and each part of the evening flowed beautifully. The service was phenomenal. The staff came around to open bottles and pour champagne and drinks, and the food service was continuous. Course after course came out to the tables. You could see their guests reacting to the experience because this wasn't something they were used to seeing at a wedding. It truly felt like a black-tie, first-class affair. And that's what I appreciated most: The Republic didn't just provide a venue. They helped create an experience. Hovik deserves special recognition. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. He helped us understand what we needed to bring to the table and what his team would take care of--and when the big day arrived, they delivered. As the father of the groom, I was extremely proud to see how everything came together. More importantly, seeing the reaction from family and all of the guests made it clear that we had created something truly memorable. The Republic Venue is definitely a top-notch venue. I would absolutely love having another event there, and I hope we have the opportunity to create more memorable nights at The Republic in the future. My wife Katia and I got married at Republic Venue on August 29th, 2026 and I genuinely don't have enough words to describe how perfect our wedding night was. But if I had to sum it up in one word it would be Hovik. From the very first meeting nine months ago, Hovik made us feel like we were his only clients. He was responsive to every single email, text, and question and trust me, we had a lot of them. He was always transparent about pricing, flexible with payments, and never once made us feel like we were being nickled and dimed. What you see is what you get with this man and that kind of honesty in the wedding industry is rare. The day of our wedding Hovik was at the venue from 8am until 1am. He didn't just manage the venue, he conducted the entire evening like it was his own family's wedding. He helped direct our 220+ guests from the rooftop ceremony down to the reception, coordinated with every single one of our vendors, and was there every step of the way. My wife was calm and comfortable the entire day because she knew Hovik had everything under control. That alone is worth everything. The food. Oh my god the food. Every single guest came up to us raving about how hot, fresh and perfectly cooked everything was. At a wedding of this size that is incredibly hard to pull off and Hovik's team did it without a hitch. The liquor package was outstanding, the lighting was beautiful, the security team was professional and discreet, and the venue itself looked absolutely stunning on our wedding night. We also brought in multiple outside vendors including a Zaffa group, a DJ, a florist, photographers, videographers and a content creator and Hovik coordinated with all of them effortlessly. He even held cash envelopes for us to deliver to vendors at the end of the night. That is just who he is as a person. If you are looking to get married in Los Angeles stop searching. Republic Venue is the answer and Hovik is the reason. Book it, trust him, and enjoy the best night of your life. I recently visited Republic and was blown away by the venue itself. The ambiance, decor, and overall experience were top-notch. However, the valet service was an absolute nightmare and completely ruined the evening. The valet company employed by Republic is not only unprofessional but downright rude. They illegally placed signs in the Ventura building, hogging five spaces on the street. This is not only inconvenient but also illegal. On top of that, they were reserving spaces in the back lot without any explanation. The three valet attendants were incredibly rude to me and my family. Their behavior was so appalling that it left us all in a terrible mood. I seriously doubt these valets are even licensed. Does this company have a business license? Are these attendants properly vetted and trained? Republic deserves better than this. The valet service is a disgrace and should be replaced immediately. Until then, I would recommend finding alternative parking options to avoid dealing with these unprofessional and disrespectful valets. read more

The Republic Venue is Amazing! We had my son Brandon's wedding at this place. Their wedding was held on the rooftop which has the dopest view just a phenomenal backdrop for the ceremony. I can't say enough how much fun we had and how good the food was.The reception hall was so beautiful and the service here was top notch. very nice large Video screens all around the venue - the whole event was like a Movie.
