Our bill has gone up 50% over the past 3 years. They miss pickups regularly, when you call to get the bill adjusted they only change it by a few dollars. When I finally had enough and called to cancel, they informed me I was locked into a 36 month contract and would be required to pay out the rest of the contract. In order for my contract NOT to auto-renew I had to give more than 60 days but less than 180 days notice. As soon as I gave notice to not renew, my bill went up AGAIN! And they started calling me continuously trying to talk me out of canceling. I've never dealt with a more slimy, conniving, dishonest company. read more

very bad service. originally was told delivery service was 300 bucks then Brian Hunt called me said he'd reduce delivery down to 50 bucks and a 90 monthly pick up. well never got a bill until it was a late notice and after paying 580 dollars for 2 mo service I've cancelled. these are used car salesman tactics so be careful. I did sign their contract so it's in me but beware. nothing they "say" is worth anything, read the contract. read more

DO NOT this company. They are deceitful and not honest. They raise your cost almost every month. When you try to cancel they will not work with you and it takes months and months and they still bill you. You also have to send them a certified letter 3 months before they will cancel. Even their own employees tell you good luck trying to cancel and having them pick up your trash container. There is an honest company out there with a 1/3 of republics price. Call Waste Haulers they are honest and great to work with. I would not suggest Republic to my worst enemy. I have lots of friends and family in this area and other areas that they service and I will be contacting them and getting them to change service. They will eventually loose a large amount of money, word of mouth and social media is very powerful. read more

If zero stars were an option that's what I would choose. $80 a month for 4 pickups should be easy. I've received e mails saying my trash has been picked up for two weeks and no one has touched my dumpster. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. Two different "corporate" people have reached out to me and still no service. Do yourself a favor a go with a local company that cares about their customers. read more

Worst company ever. Was a customer for almost 5years. Every year they jacked up our price a little more till we ended up paying almost $100 a month when it started at $65 a month. Everytime we would go to cancel they would give us a temporary deal. Then jack our price back up...finally a few weeks ago we cancelled because they didnt pick up our dumpster for almost an entire month. Then they tried to charge me for this month after i called the end of december. So just to cancel this complete crap service theyre trying to make me pay $240...$160 of which is for dumpster removal which i was told by customer service they would wave and the other $80 is for pick up service i didnt even get or want since i had already cancelled my service. 10/10 would seriously not recommend. read more

Republic Services of Lubbock is NOT recommended. Numerous times over a 4-5 year period they inch the cost of service up on ACH accounts without letting the customer know. Mine went from around $65 to $95 per month, then I called them and they reduced it to $75. Then 6-9 months later it was back to $95 again. Then, the third time it happened I decided to change companies and they took their time in getting the unit picked up 2-3 months and then charged a pick up fee two months AFTER they were supposed to pick it up and accumulated two more months of payments. Second month of service... already 2 missed pickups and today will be the 3rd. Called and got an unhappy employee who informed me that it is too muddy to pick up. No refunds, no pro-rated bill, just nope. BTW it is not too muddy, I drove my 2wd pickup down the alley with no problems, was going to drop some trash but its FULL Meanwhile I have a full dumpster with no option to get it emptied. I have never had a service that goes up monthly. This one does. Never had such pushy people on the phone what are trained to talk in circles. They do. Must use computer system from 1993 because they never know anything about what you are telling them.. or question you are asking. Come on. You are picking up dumpsters, it is not that difficult. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Can't say it any more straight forward. OH, plus they hosed up our alley, looked like there was a monster truck back there doing donuts. read more

Our home was constantly missed and I'd have to call the office to schedule a missed pick up. Staff is not helpful and supervisors do not return phone calls. We cancelled service after years of this. Should have done so sooner. It took a month of me calling for it be done correctly. Received a bill for picking up the container for almost $200-more than 2x our monthly bill. Seems like price gauging to me. Looks like we're not the only ones from other recent reviews. Choose another company unless you want to babysit adults to do a job they are paid to do. read more

Unethical and unprofessional business! Stay far away from these guys. Starting at $86 a month, after over 4 years they increased to over $150 a month.Then they charge you 6 months of charges to stop doing business with them! There appear to be many, many others who have left them for the same reasons I did. Class Action lawsuit just waiting to happen. read more

I feel like this garbage service is holding me hostage and it doesn't matter how good my negotiation skills are with Republic I am still a captive of this trash problem. Our dumpster is always full and I have bags of trash in my garage #HailSeason #Garage4CarsNotTrash. Our alley is in excellent condition and has been every week except one since January (currently it's April). We have been missed more weeks than picked up. I am tired of calling to complain, I cannot stomach any more excuses and I don't need an apology (although one would be nice). I just need a solution to this. I don't see any effort on republics part to "make this right" and provide us some sort of option. It seems as if because it doesn't affect them on a personal basis they just don't care. read more
