We have a home warranty through American Home Shield and the only other time we actually used it it didn't go well at all, the technician acted as though he were irritated to have to come out and said he would be back and he was but .... I digress, we weren't honestly expecting much when I made a service call for our washing machine. But Tim came out, was very professional but also friendly and explained each step and kept me posted if there was any change or issues. He knew what he was talking about and got our old, over-worked washing machine going again!!! We would not hesitate to use them again in the future and am pretty stoked we found a reliable, knowledgeable service repair company. Thank you so much!!! Absolute joke of a company. We live in And Lubbock. We have really hard fucking water.. They would not install the dishwasher because I use a whole house turn off and not the turn off under the sink because our hard water freezes it up every time.. so they refuse to install a dishwasher. I reported a dishwasher issue on 14 December. They came out, looked at. It said they had to call it in within two weeks. They had to come back and take the circuit board out of the dishwasher which was completely fried. Literally it was black.. then they said it had to be replaced so I schedule the replacement now they have been out here three times at this point. They come out and they say they can't install it because they can't turn the water off under the sink and I tell them no I have a Main house turn off.. they refuse to install the dishwasher. As far as I'm concerned, this company is trash.! if you have to use them because of your warrnty, I'm sorry that's the reason I got stuck with this. Sorry ass company.. read more

I can't recommend Science Appliance enough!!! Between Brittany, Kaiden, and Mike, everything from the initial phone call to the service call and subsequent recall service on our Frigidaire refrigerator has been top-notch. They not only got a technician out quickly, but they were able to get someone out today, thanks to a cancellation. Kaiden and Mike were the two technicians we dealt with, and they are both wonderful people. They are respectful of our home, our two furbabies, and are both very straightforward and honest when I ask questions regarding the parts and estimated installation of the ordered parts and what to expect. Brittany has a very polite and professional phone demeanor and expressed empathy when I was panicking about the refrigerator. She truly is a gem! I truly wish that American Home Shield would make them the preferred repair service company, as there is one here in town that keeps being drawn, and I will not allow them in my house. That "other" company has techs that are rude, throws parts and boxes on your granite countertops, slams their tools around, and leaves you a mess to clean up. The office staff is terrible with their phone etitqite. This other company is just overall disrespectful of me and my home, as well as my pets. If you have to go through your home warranty company, just keep calling back until you get someone who is willing to dispatch Science Appliance!!! read more

I had a washer that wasn't draining and had contacted my home warranty. They sent someone out from a different company. Long story short, that company kept putting me off and wouldn't answer my calls. I took it upon myself to call another company after being without a washer for 3 weeks. Thankfully I chose to call Science Appliance. They came the next day and diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately, the part I needed was no longer available from the manufacturer. My repairman and his boss worked quickly to find me an after market part. I highly recommend Science Appliance for any appliance repair. Everyone, from the person who answered my initial call, to the repairman and those that helped look for the part, were amazing! read more

Hands down the absolute best repair company in the Lubbock area. Always great service, pricing and extremely friendly. They have fixed our dishwasher, water/ice maker on our sub zero fridge and recently fixed our front load LG dryer. I really appreciated a couple of things about my experience with Science Appliance today. First, someone answered the phone promptly at 8a when I called to see about an estimate on my broken washer. They were able to fit me in same day and called, as promised before arriving. And they were ON TIME. While the repair will cost more than just replacing the entire unit, the problem was completely explained in a way I could understand and the recommendation was that I SHOULD replace it. Even though they would make money off the repair. They went so far as to say I am welcome to call with the brand and model of whatever I am thinking of purchasing and they will be happy to let me know if it is known for being problematic.
