This is the worst waste management company ever! For 4 weeks this company did not come to remove the trash. We waited on hold FOREVER multiple times to be told our trash would be picked up the following week if not sooner which never happened! We are currently on week 5 of no pick up and have again waited on hold for eternity to be told a supervisor would call us back at the end of the day which also never happened. Last night I finally got in touch with a "service specialist" after being the fool who waited on hold for over an hour! I explained that we are selling our home and scheduled to close in two days and would be unable to do so if the trash was not picked up. I was told the trash would be picked up the next day. Guess what... it is still sitting there! I am currently waiting on hold again as we need to close on our house tomorrow and still have 5 weeks worth of trash sitting at the bottom of the driveway! read more

If I could give no stars at all, I would!! HORRIBLE customer service. I was told I needed to do things to "make myself look good." They did not pick up my recycling for 4 weeks and then told me when I called for four days in a row that they would send someone out that day to pick it up. A week has gone by since the missed pickup day and the recycling is still out front. 3 out of the 4 customer service reps were extremely rude and all blamed me. Oh and to cancel, they would like $11 to take their own barrels back! Pick someone else!!!! read more

I have had Republic for years, used to be Allied Waste Management. After the blizzard I received an automated call saying they would not be picking up the rubbish. A couple of days later every other rubbish company was driving around my street picking up rubbish, but NOT Republic. After another snow day this past Monday 2/2/15, another call that we are not getting picked up. I had to call today Friday to find out why no pick up. Didn't get an answer. My sister has them and they said they need to be able to come down the street. Maybe if they came to pick up the rubbish they would realize the streets are passable and EVERY OTHER RUBBISH COMPANY HAS BEEN PICKING UP THE RUBBISH IN THE AREA FOR TWO WEEKS. I am done with Republic when my three months are up. Good riddance. read more

Terrible. We have had this service for under a year and they have missed our pickup for the third time. We pay a premium to be able to schedule pickups for larger items. That pickup was missed because of a vehicle breakdown and rescheduled for the following day. The item still wasn't picked up and when calling to find out why we were told "maybe it would happen today, definitely by the next day". It's now two days later and still no pickup. We called at noon to get ask for a status, were told that they had contacted Operations, and that there was two more stops before us. Five hour later/the end of the day and still pickup. The folks at the 800 number offered no justification or apology for the poor service and said it was being rescheduled to the following week. I have had trash collection services Since 1987, with BFI, which turned into Allied Waste Services, and in recent years, Republic Services. Had no problem with the first two. , when I closed my commercial account, however , needed to cancel and stop the billing on my residential sevice as I sold my residence in the month of November. I placed 4 phone calls , (Have the dates and the reps' names) but to no avail. Each of them had to send an e-mail to the person in charge of cancelling the service. That never happened. I am being billed for December, January, with a late fee of $ 5,- added to the total for a service that is no longer valid. Spoke to another rep today, Jan 15, 2019, who did the same thing. This company has no representation, not one manager or supervisor to address these aggregious billings. On their website you can read all the beloney about how they care about customer service, all the big honchos with their glossy titles, including the person in charge of the ethics and legal dept.; but not one phone number or e-mail on any of these people is posted anywhere. Do not do business with Republic Services. Save yourself the aggravation. I am about to have The Attorney General's office get involved with this company's false advertising and shoddy, no service. . read more

Horrible services!! I recently bought a home and had to find a trash company that would pick up weekly. All of my neighbors use Dooley and I decided I was going to find the best deal. Republic Services had great prices quarterly and the lady I spoke with first got me signed up right away. Here is how the rest of it went down. I signed up to start my first pick up on July 8th which is a Friday as I was told my pick up day in my town was Fridays. I was told the bins would get to me on a Tuesday (july 5th). Bins did not come... I called they said we are behind because of the holiday, okay so they were going to come on the 6th?? Nooooooo!! My bins never came until the 11th! I called every single day before the, and at this time they told me my trash pickup was on Wednesdays not Fridays. I put my trash out and they never came on Wednesday!! I called and was furious. At this time my trash was piling up. Finally they told me oh your pick up is really Friday we thought you were in a different town. Helloooooo I gave you my address from the beginning how could you think that! Finally I got my trash picked up the following Friday, but you would've thought that they would've made a special trip since they have missed two weeks already! No! You won't believe what happened next... they came and picked up the recycle but did not pick up the trash! They told me I had to wait till Monday. No one came Monday. I called Tuesday and said I am done I have called every single day since July 5th and I am done! Oh and one more thing, they sure did send my first bill which had two $25 fees for bin drop off! hahah I told them I was not paying the $50 for two reasons: I was never told about it, and the bins were never dropped off in time!!!! And I also told them I was not paying the $72 quarterly bill as the trash services were horrible! I am now signed up with Dooley Trash Service and they came the next day to drop bins off after I called! A little more money quarterly for trash but no hidden fees and they actually do their job! read more
