In September, I contacted Derek and scheduled a junk removal appointment for Saturday, September 19. I was given a time window, but the two workers arrived approximately 45 minutes late without any notification or courtesy call. While they completed the junk removal quickly, their behavior was shockingly unprofessional. The two employees argued throughout the entire job, with one employee, Wayne, repeatedly yelling at the other. At one point, he walked out of my house to calm down, only to return and continue the argument before resuming work.
Unfortunately, their lack of professionalism extended beyond their conduct. During the removal process, they caused significant damage to my home, including three holes in my walls, one approximately the size of a fist, along with multiple scratches across three separate walls. Wayne immediately contacted Derek to report the damage, and I was assured that someone would return on September 21 or 22 to repair the walls and color-match the paint.
No one showed up, and no one contacted me.
When I reached out to Wayne on September 22, he admitted the repair had "slipped his mind" and claimed he could not find my phone number. He assured me he would stop by the next day.
September 23 came and went with no communication. When I followed up that evening, I was told he was still working and would speak with Derek the following day. September 24 passed with no update. On September 25, I was told they had simply been "too busy" but would come up with a plan.
Over the next several weeks, I repeatedly rearranged my schedule, coordinated with family members, followed up by phone and text, and provided multiple dates that would work for repairs. Each time, I was promised a callback, promised a plan, or given another appointment date. Each time, those commitments were broken.
On October 2, Wayne canceled because of a personal issue and attempted to pressure me into changing the repair date to accommodate his schedule, despite the fact that I had already made special arrangements to be available that day.
After more delays and more unanswered messages, we eventually scheduled October 16. The night before, Wayne confirmed he would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. On the morning of October 16, he texted asking for my address again and later claimed he was on his way. By 10:09 a.m., he still had not arrived. I reached out again and received no response whatsoever.
At that point, my mother, who was waiting at my home, contacted Derek directly. Derek apologized and stated that Wayne had told him I was the one repeatedly canceling appointments and that the damage was only a small hole "the size of a nickel." Neither statement was true. My mother explained that there were actually three holes, one the size of a fist, multiple scratches, and that we had spent nearly a month trying unsuccessfully to get the damage repaired.
Derek apologized and promised two things:
A $140 Venmo payment to compensate for the inconvenience.
That he would personally come the following Friday to repair the damage.
Neither promise was kept.
The reimbursement was never sent. No one ever returned to repair the damage. Most importantly, after weeks of excuses, missed appointments, broken promises, and misleading information, they simply stopped communicating altogether. Phone calls went unanswered, messages were ignored, and all efforts to resolve the issue were abandoned by the company.
What started as a simple junk removal job resulted in property damage, over a month of wasted time, countless follow-up attempts on my part, repeated no-shows, conflicting stories, and ultimately complete silence from the company. The most frustrating part was not even the damage itself, but the complete lack of accountability afterward.
If the company had simply repaired the damage as promised, this review likely would not exist. Instead, they chose to make excuse after excuse, fail to honor their commitments, and ultimately cut off communication entirely.
The level of unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and disregard for customer service was unacceptable. I would never use this company again and would strongly encourage anyone considering their services to continue searching for a more reliable and reputable junk removal company.
