If I could give zero stars I would. Fairfield is a sell out by sending their business to this company. Ever since Republic Services has taken over our garbage collection, it's been a mess. Their customer service is reprehensible. Everything is done out of their Bay Area location; no one is in Solano Co - where it should be! They DO NOT mail information timely, esp. if you have a late payment, but they are perfectly capable of emailing your bill and then sending the hard copy? Why can't they do this with all notices? The phone number on our account must be to fill a slot in their computer system, because it sure as hell isn't to call a customer. This is a money-grubbing, customer service-lacking company, where profits are their only concern, not the people they provide a service to. I admit, while my bill occasionally falls behind, I love how companies used to charge 1%, up to 12% of the bill as a late fee. This lovely company thinks 10% is the ideal late charge. My bill is caught up to date and if I can find a local landfill to dump my garbage, I would definitely do so instead of paying this less-than honest-company. read more

Zero Star to be honest. That is how I would rate this company. I am infuriated with Republic Services for not committing on their supposedly "Reliable, Respectful, Responsible and relentless customer service." I have called and left messages and emailed regarding our missed pickup. Not Once but multiple times. I called about our missed garbage pickup on Wednesday and was told it would be pick up Thursday. Thursday comes and Still no garbage pickup. I called again and the lady said it will be pick up Saturday and to include all other garbage as long as it's not 50lbs. Today is Saturday and Still THEY DID NOT PICK UP OUR GARBAGE! I even gave them directions regarding where we're located at since it's a new house development. I understand that it's holiday but it's not an excuse to leave customers furious and disappointed. read more

This business should really shut down. In September, they took my trash can/bin by mistake. They were supposed to go to some other address but didn't even bother reading the number on our house. I called Republic services and the first lady I spoke with had an attitude. She asked if I was sure that Republic Services was the one who took the trash can. I simply told her that I can send her my video from my home camera. So needless to say, that conversation didn't go far. I was promised that a replacement would come within a week. So I was upset only because it shouldn't take them that long specially if the mistake was on their end. Then I called again after four days, then they told me four weeks out. So that makes a month from the day they took my trash by mistake. Obviously they gave me so many different reasons. I spoke to five people and only two sort of were professional. The three were super rude. One of them actually told me to put my trash on the curb! Unbelievable! Who's trashing this city- the garbage collectors themselves. Please somebody reach out to another scavenger. I hope Recology comes in and replaces this company. Republic Services have the worst service! Called 3 times for 1 pick up, 1 pick up and not once was is picked up. I spoke with three (3) different operators and they all said they would put the request through, nothing was done . I don't know what's going on there but the service is not good. It upsets me that we pay for this and yet we are treated with none of there supposed Philosophy. Trash has not been picked up consistently. We've called repeatedly and there's been no change. Furthermore, we requested a large trash can. It was delivered 3 weeks ago. Then it was taken away. Now we have no place to put our trash. Really frustrated with the horrible level of service offered. Arghhh. read more

I have contacted Republic services of Fairfield for the last two weeks regarding a hydraulic spill from there trunk on our service day in my community. I have not received a return phone call nor has the spill been cleaned up. Maybe they think due to all the rain the rain will just do it for them. Republic Service where it is impossible to find your balance without going through an act of Congress. Their website is totally useless, as is the listed phone number. They ask you to go paperless without a system to inform me what my balance is. I am requesting to go back to paper billing. read more

I don't know where the disconnect between the offices and the recycling department is..but they haven't picked up recycling in 2 weeks. I have called 3 times and each time they said they would put in a request but no one ever came. Trash gets picked up with no problem but recycling is a hit and miss with more misses.i wish fairfield had another company for recycling services read more

Moved into new house, called Republic Services to set up service. They came and took away existing cans with no replacements. We had no containers to put trash in for over a week. A customer service rep even advised me that I should put my garbage in the freezer to keep it from smelling. Same rep also told me that my cans would be delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately, not very true I received the recycle bin one day, made more calls to find out where the other cans are. The rep tells me she has elevated the issue and if I don't get the garbage can to just put the bags out on the road. Today, republic service truck drops off a yard waste can but no garbage can. I asked the driver he was only delivering the yard waste can and no idea about the garbage can. He also mentioned that there was no more garbage cans in the inventory and has no idea of when there will be more. Another call to republic service brings me to another rep that tells me that the delivery guy is wrong. Overall the communication within this organization is an absolute horror show. I would highly suggest to any Solano County board member to re-evaluate the existing monopoly that republic service has in place and should consider bringing in a better organization. read more

I waited around until 10:15 this morning and still no one was there working. They are supposed to open at 9. I called the phone number on their board and it just rings. I operate a business in Fairfield and spend a ridiculous amount of time on the phone correcting Republic Services mistakes. I have to schedule multiple times to get my cardboard dumpster picked up as it will be scheduled and then never happen. When I call in they will say someone called in and cancelled it when the only reason I would have called in the first place is the schedule the pickup. They consistently miss pickup's due to billing errors on there part where they post a payment to the wrong account. Then they will want to charge you an additional same day fee for the clerical error that they made. I have explained all of this to them multiple times and have been told "That it has to be escalated to another department to waive additional fees" only to never get a call back and then need service so bad that i am forced to pay the fee. read more

I had started my garbage services @ Fairifeld Ca and they forgot to deliver my recycling bin. For two weeks we've been in touch wih staff there by the name of Wayne. He went above and beyond to make sure it got delivered to our residence. I spoke to him abd let him know that we did not get our bin and we've been waiting for a week. He took my number and followed up with me everyday until we got it. I appreciated all the efforts he took to make us happy. You should have more people like him in your business. He should be rewarded for his efficiency and kindness. read more

The customer services is horrible. I keep logging into the website for bill pay and it comes up under another person's account. If I can see other accounts someone probably has access to mine. I've been trying to get this cleared up for 2 yrs. Whenever I fill out a contact form and tell them the problem, they make me call the office to fix it. But the person on the phone never understands the problem so I waste a lot of time. If I could change vendors I would. They missed my green pick up on Wednesday, I called around 3:30 to advise, said they would come by before 6:00 that day, or come on Thursday morning. Did not, so I called Thursday around 3:30, and said they will be there by 6:00. Did not. Called Friday morning around nine, and said they would notify the supervisor, and get it picked up Friday. Just got home at 3:30, and green container still out on the street, full. Called again, fourth time, and the gal said she would escalate it, and advise the supervisor, who would call me right back. It has been an hour and still no call. I have more green waste I would like to get rid of this weekend. Each of the four different girls that I talk to on the phone were very pleasant and apologetic, but turns out to be all empty promises. A lot of empty promises from republic services. We moved in on June 1st and set up garbage services June 2. For some reason on June 5 our trash cans we're hauled away (wtf???) And it is now July 10 and we still don't have our cans. I have called customer service many, many times (they are on my speed dial now) and they always promise that my cans will arrive by the end of the day! I still have no cans. I asked to have my bill for the month of June refunded, since I've had no service, and they said they would do that for me. Yesterday I received a bill in the mail with not on a full June charge but an additional service charge for an pickup. (What??) I am so utterly confused and frustrated. I moved my services almost a year ago, paid on my bill on time every month all of a sudden I'm sent to collections and a delinquent mark on my credit (the only one). I call the company to find out my my app says my account is suspended only to be told my services have been suspended since march but my trash has still been picked up all that time, so they decide to activate my account again and back bill me because their trash people were not looking at their schedule correctly (for two months) still no bill, the lady tells me all the back billing will be due in June. Get back on my account this morning and I'm suspended again, no current bill sent to me still and they keep saying I have paperless billing when even the app says I have it turned off. Now the lady is having a problem activating my account again. This is the worst trash company I have ever dealt with even from Southern California trash companies. The WORST customer service and delivery service for the bins, I requested a larger recycle bun so in June I called to order one. Only deliver one day a week and that day slipped by. Excuse from customer service was bins are on order, didn't have one. They didn't deliver 4th July week so the following week, nothing again and was told they don't make that size. I was offered an additional one the same size as what I have at no cost. Two weeks later and a load of excuses and still no recycle bin. I've been promised one this coming Wednesday but I won't hold my breath. I've been throwing the recyclables in the trash can so I don't have the extra bag in my garage. Every week I call customer service to confirm the order is there and every week I'm disappointed when nothing is delivered. Why are you starting trash pickup services before 7am? It seems like your drivers are starting earlier and earlier? Really??!!! Your phone receptionists don't even start until 7am to call in! When drivers used to have to get out of their trucks and physically pickup and dump each trash, it was very physical and I could understand drivers starting early to beat the heat of the day. That's not the case now-a-days! These drivers sit in their truck and the truck has mechanical arms pick up and dump each trash can. What is the reason to start so early? They have the whole day and afternoon to get their job done! read more
