Magnolia Texas area. Republic Services took over existing route from original trash service company CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Careless irresponsible driver inadvertently swept my full trash container off of my driveway with the trucks container pickup and ended up sweeping it off my driveway were in landed upside down in the drainage ditch with trash spilled down the ditch. Driver did get out of the truck and she made a half-hearted attempt to pull the container up out of the ditch but after two FEEBLE attempts to lift the container, she got back in her truck and drove off. I came home to to find my upside down containerwith trash spilled out into the ditch. I was able to remove a few bags from the container to lighten it up and pulled the contaner back up on the driveway. I then picked up the spilled trash. Why didn't the driver do this. It was entirely her fault (I have a security video). Driver did not leave a note and customer service did notreach out to contact me. They know my address, email, and phone number. On Wednesday, I called a spoke to JoAnn. Got a lot of lip service but trash set out in front all day. Thursday, I called customer service again and talked to Eric. Again an unconcerned attitude and was told they would try to find a way to get a pickup scheduled. Finally, on Friday afternoon (3 days later), a truck came by and picked up the trash. Never once did anyone show any evidence they cared. It was entirely their driver's fault. They should have went out of their way to minimize the impact on their customer, BUT THEY DID NOT. I bet their concern and response would be much different if I missed one of their precious payments. read more

I did reach out to customer support. They are the ones who told me I had to pay ANOTHER $50 for a new bin. We started service with Republic Services 02/2026. Paid a deposit for a bin and was told it would be delivered the following Thursday...never showed. There was a bin in the home we got which was broken. Called after moving in asking for new bin and was told Thursday never showed. Explained it was broken and nasty. Requested again was told I had to pay another $50 for replacement. Customer service is horrible and still using an old nasty broken can. Shopping for a new truck service now read more

Bunch of crooks, First, they raised by billing 50% when I found another company. I disconnected Service and I picked up the can.. Later they build me for picking up the can, which is not part of our agreement they claimed it was a contract I asked for a copy they can't produce one at all. Avoid this company like to apply and find somebody else even burn your own trash if you can! read more

This is the WORST trash company on the planet!! They miss your pick up days alot! They have no explanation as to why it was missed and when you call they tell you a BS line of well the truck is in route it will be there soon! I will be canceling there services and finding a company that actually has employees that DO THERE JOB!!!! read more

A worthless trash service that can't be bothered to pick up small boxes next to your trash can and instead try to incure and extra fee for anything outside of the trash can do yourself a favor and get a new trash company I will be taking this to the BBB as well read more

This company is absolutely stealing from customers. Their communication is absolutely ridiculous. Watch your account because they will withdraw whatever amount they want at whatever time they want, and when you call to complain or ask what the charge is, it's always some made up scenario, where one customer service rep has no clue why and they other just says "that's how it is". Even after canceling, they are STILL taking money and again when I called, "fuel charge" the can was picked up TWO MONTHS AGO. The account was closed two months ago. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Besides the outrageous rate and random charges, they will never pick up on time and will miss pick ups as well. Absolute TRASH. No pun intended. read more

On our pickup day (Monday 12/29) the driver dumped our dumpster/trash in the ditch and left it. Called customer service numerous times for pickup and was assured they would return for pickup. They never did. Fast forward to the next scheduled pickup on Friday (01/02/26), they drive right by and never dumped our trash! Called and spoke to a customer service representative and then an account manager--they said they would send them back by. We had an overflowing dumpster at this point after the holidays. They got out, collected four bags of trash sitting next to the dumpster and never emptied the dumpster! Horrible customer service provided by the driver! Trying to reach the account manager again so this can hopefully be rectified before the weekend. I will update everyone and let you know when they return and properly collect our trash. read more

I have never liked the pricing with Republic because I don't typically have that much trash and only needed a once a week pick up but I still paid around $150 per quarter. I just saw that my bill has gone up to around $190 which is ridiculous! A neighbor recommended I call Essential Waste and they charge $108-ish a quarter!!! Still two times a week. When I went to cancel with Republic, they told me it be nearly $80 to pick up a trash can I already paid $50 when I started the service. I told them, it's my trash can, I paid for it. The customer service person said "you paid to lease it." Ridiculous!! I said "I'll drop it off" and she said, there isn't a place to drop it off.  DO NOT entertain this fleecing! Call Essential Waste. And if you were wondering NO, NOT ONE area trash service recycles unless you live within the City of Conroe, then Waste Management does offer recycling. read more

I'm a Residential Customer however ready to switch, ICE raided some Houston business and arrested over a hundred illegal migrants, Republic Services was the only company name given. This week Republic has missed 2 scheduled picked ups for our road, shortage of drivers. Go figure. Update: 5 days later and another missed pickup. Customer Service is as frustrated as I am on the poor service of Republic Service Operation. Note: the canned and worthless reply below. 3 missed picked ups in same week, $4.49 credit. Lol read more

paid for residential trash service, and they missed the first pick up and I've called daily since and they kept saying tomorrow we will send someone and then never did. had no problem taking my money but can't seem to come take the trash that I paid for them to pick up. beyond aggravated and right out the gate crap service. read more

ZERO STARS, the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with in my life, I am cancelling my service!!!! How can you be so awful when there are so many other companies to choose from, you should be trying to retain business. They have hulk smashed and broken my bin TWICE now, and they tried to charge ME for it even though they very clearly broke it!!! They replaced it with a smaller one and broke it too!! Not to mention my bill goes up $20 every single pay period. Disgusting read more

So I wanted to share my recent experience with Republic Waste Services that way anyone who uses their services or are looking to get their services you are fully aware of what kind of company this is. I have had garbage service with them for 3 years we started out paying $90 a month and over the 3years it has now doubled in price. I had finally had enough of paying over $160 for just waste services so I called on 1/23 to inquire about when my billing period ended I was told that my new billing cycle started on 2/1 and I promptly let them know I wanted to cancel my services and they assured me it would be cancelled on 1/31. They arranged to come and pick up my can the following week. Ok so now this is where things take a turn for the worse.....I got a call last week that my balance had not been paid -past due of $160.53. I'm so confused at this point I cancelled my services so I shouldn't owe anything?!?!?!? So I call them and they give me some bullshit excuse on why I was invoiced saying I didn't call in until the 23rd and the bill was generated on the 20th but she said she would assure me I would have a 0 balance. Even thought the billing invoice date was 2/9. Which as far as I know 2/9 is after 1/20?!?!?!? Ok so I have to call and argue and fight with these idiots to clear the balance. After speaking with multiple reps and supervisors I got my balance down to 0. In the future I will not recommend this company to anyone they are shisty people who just want to steal your money!!!! read more

Without a doubt the worst company I've had the misfortune to deal with as a residential customer. Their incompetent worker took my trash can along with an extra recycle can. It's been almost a week now and I still don't have a trash can, I had to report them to the health department since I don't have a trash can, it's summer and I'm creating my own leachate here. This company is an absolute disgrace along with the even more incompetent outsourcing customer service people from Latin America who can never find your account and ask if you're sure you have an account with Republic. Every time I called and got a rep from the outsourced company I was asked the same question. read more

ZERO STARS Terrible company! We just moved and are trying to set up garbage service. On the website we confirmed that this company will service our address. We went ahead and set it up to start this week and paid the $50 on the website. When we did not receive the garbage can delivery or any follow up about garbage pick up schedule, my husband called, and was told that they actually do not service our area. So my husband asked them to refund our $50. They would not commit to refunding. Literally hemming and hawing. Ridiculous!! We went ahead and contacted the credit card company to dispute the charge and we were successful. I would not recommend this company to anyone! UPDATE: Saw the company's response below and it's the same canned response that has been sent to all of the reviews for the last few years. Clearly your technique to improve the business and customer service is futile. Not going to waste anymore time on this because there's nothing you can do. You cannot service our area and you should've been upfront about that on your website and not taken our money and then actually not commit to giving us our money back... money that you clearly are not entitled to! read more

First off I did not chose Republic waste service, I had Town and Country and they sold their business to Republic. I have had issues with this company from the beginning but it has been set up for auto pay and figured all garbage companies will have there issues.... Until I called to have a large item pick up and they said they do not do large trash pick up in my area. They do in other areas just not mine. So am I still paying the same amount as others who do get to enjoy this service? I have one large plastic chair that is broken that I can't fit into my garbage can and they won't pick it up. That definitely will not work for me so I will be switching asap. read more

Very poor service. It was our scheduled heavy trash day, and I had some old fence pickets set out in a pile on the curb for them to pick up. I gathered the pickets from my yard and got them to the curb in probably under five minutes by myself. When they came, they left the pickets on the curb and left a note that said to tie them together "so they would be easier to lift". It was two grown men on the truck. They could've loaded them up in under sixty seconds. How lazy can you be? read more

I have nothing good to say about the service of this company, I've talked to several employees, whom tried to help me out and even call me to say that my services were resolved and that I would be getting trash picked up on scheduled days. Well, it's not happening. I'm fed up. If I had a truck, i would take my trash bags and at least dump it at their corporate office. AS FAR AS THE 1 STAR THEY GOT ON HERE , THEY DON'T DESERVE IT. WORST SERVICE EVER. read more

DO NOT USE THIS TRASH SERVICE!!!!!!!!! We just moved into a new-build home at the beginning of February and are already having issues starting March 15th 2023. We will be cancelling services. STORY: Wednesday is our trash day and on the 15th of March, they missed our house. Thinking there might have been some sort of delay out of their control (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt), and there was still no sign of them coming. So, Friday morning I made my initial call to the customer service department. I spoke with a woman who assured me that they would send someone back out on Monday, March 20th. However, since they were over a week past due, we had additional trash that exceeded the capacity of the bin, so I asked the woman if they would pick it up since we were missed, (even though when we moved in and had several additional boxes outside the can, they did not pick them up), and she said there would be no issue with the driver picking up the additional trash. Monday rolls around, no one comes. So, I call again. Again, I talk to someone else, express my concerns, she assured me they would come Tuesday, March 21st to pick up the trash, and again I made sure to double check about our additional trash on the side of the can, which she assured she would make note of that it needed to be picked up since we were missed. You probably know what I am going to say, but by Tuesday at 3:45pm, we still had not received services, so I called again, but this time, they didn't have to schedule any extra "exceptions" as our trash day is on Wednesday. Wednesday comes and I see the truck blow past our house so I run outside down the driveway. I watch the lady (I think) pick up the trash and knock over everything we had next to our can and start driving off. I start chasing after her, down the street, with no shoes on, but she keeps going. I called again to cancel services and talked to a man named AJ, who had absolutely no idea what he was doing so I asked to speak with a supervisor and got transferred to Shauna. She was very nice, apologetic, and told me that she would have a driver out to our house on Friday, March 24th (today), or possibly sooner and to please pick up all the trash scattered about and put it in the can. Shauna also told me that she marked in our account that the driver was going to be held accountable and is supposed to be taking photos of our house to confirm that the trash was picked up.... 2:30pm rolls around (friday, 24th) and our trash is STILL sitting outside. I called to cancel services AGAIN and was informed that they "attempted to pick up trash" on Tuesday, and the driver took a photo of it scattered about so they couldn't remove it (which was an obvious lie as Shauna didn't mark this on our account until Wednesday). As I am writing this review, someone named Janet called to tell me she was sending someone out today to pick up the trash, but I won't hold my breath. PLEASE, if you have any other options for trash removal aside from Republic Services, do yourself a favor and go with any other company! read more

I am so frustrated and I'm warning others. Don't trust them and don't ever sign up with them. They keep your payment information and charge whenever they want without warning. If you have Republic Services, beware if you try to cancel! I cancelled almost 2 weeks in advance and removed my credit card information from the website and cancelled autopay due to the ridiculous rising cost of what they're charging for trash. They've increased it every single quarter. It started out as $83 when I signed up last year and now it's up to $166 for a quarter in jut one year! When I spoke with the lady to cancel, she told me they would pick up the can and the only bill I would receive is for a $50 fee to pick up their own trash can.... okay whatever fine.. They came and got their can on May 3rd, all services were done on April 27th and everything was seemingly okay... until they chose to take out $166 out of my card for services that were cancelled far in advance on May 10th and my account shows there is no service. -- REMEMBER... all of my card information was removed from their website weeks in advance and there was no autopay!!!!!!!!!! I have been losing my mind over this and I'm really upset. They still haven't given me my refund despite them claiming it would be there in a few business days. It is now 11 days waiting as of writing this. Then they respond in an email telling me ... "Our system is showing a credit for those three months, along with the cart removal fee that will process tomorrow (May 20th). Once this processes, any remaining credit amount can be applied back to your credit card." Am I misinterpreting this? It kinda sounds like you took this giant payment for the next quarter which I told you I was not getting service for and now you're gonna give me the difference for your cart removal fee? Kinda sounds like you didn't trust I would pay that fee..... even though I've never missed a payment of anything in my life! Then I get an email that says "Your payment of -$81.57 is due on 06/09/2022." First of all, your math is wrong. you owe me $116 per your promise that the container removal fee is only $50. Also, I'm confused. Are you holding that until June 9th? Or are you sending it asap? So they took their fee and held $166 hostage for a bill that was never mine to pay for service I never wanted nor received! I am so insulted and I wish I would have known more before I ever signed up with them last year. read more

Terrible absolutely terrible service. We got evicted and showed proof and they refused to cancel the contract saying we would have to pay the entire bill remaining to cancel or pay 600 dollars for them to move dumpster to a new spot where we can't even have a dunpster.... they don't give a fk to help in any situation I would avoid using this shitty company they will only screw you over as they have us read more

Had I read the reviews first I'd have never started service. Literally have had them 3 weeks and already bad service. They dropped off the container with a large truck, picked up the trash the first Friday, next Friday no pickup. Called they said the wires are too low to get under?? How'd they pick it up or get it in here in the first place? The wires are actually higher than the ones they go under on the main road if not identical. They're telling me we have to move the dumpster, what a crock of crap!! read more

They stink....they let there drivers do whatever they want. I pay by auto pay every quarter, there is no excuse to pick up the nabbing cans on both sides of me and skip me. This is the 7th time in 2 yrs. And when u have a full house I depend on the pickup. Now I've hot trash in my garage be cause they don't do there Damm jobs. I call to get missed puck up, well guess what....no pick up..after all I already payed them to do it, so why on earth would they....assholes.... read more

I had Republic Services in Conroe Tx. for over a year and called to arrange for a large pick up item. They put me through to someone who confirmed that my address did have that service available and what day of the month to put it out. Item was not picked up and they denied having told me they would. I arranged service with another company who offered that service and offered to bring their trash container to them to avoid the $54 pick up fee. I was told that I couldn't do that. They then sent me a bill for $59 instead of the $54. Very dissatisfied with company after chatting with Bonnie E today. I am retired and have low income. read more

Someone from the company called and told me they were here to pick up a trashcan. Then they described articles on the back of my porch. I told them no one should be entering the property without permission. And also informed them that the posts were all painted purple, and in Texas that means no trespassing and you could be shot. They then cancelled my service and said I threatened to shoot them. Even though the cans are picked up by the road. They should never enter your property and take stuff without asking. A whole bunch of California Karen's. Also, even before the pandemic and Biden administration gas tax. They were already overcharging. I can't imagine how much they're going to take advantage of this. read more

I live in spring tx this company constantly leaves my trash just sitting there they don't even attempt to retrieve it. This is like the 3-4 time in 2 years they just didn't do the job they get paid to do. I asked my neighbors hey did they pick up your trash? Oh they did well now im starting to feel they are doing it on purpose. This is ridiculous i don't know how much of a choice you get on who picks up your trash, but this company is trash period. read more

Montgomery, Texas, FM 149 Area: If I could give this business a -FFFFF I would! If you have availability for a different trash service, please do yourself a favor use the other service. A few 2 Pick Ups, till the next time they are in the area.
