I walked into the store at 9 AM, with a specific dress in mind. That dress was found online, on their website but their website said it was Out of Stock, so I politely told her that I understood that they may not have that dress and if we could find something similar to it, then I'm okay with that. Dana wrote down the number that was included with the dress and said she would be right back. Dana comes back WITH THE DRESS OF MY DREAMS AND IN MY SIZE! This dress could not be found in their database. It was nowhere to be found at ANY of their locations across the US. How is it that the dress of my dreams happens to be in the location I live close to and IN MY SIZE?!?! Fate. So Dana takes me back to the dressing room, helps me try on my dress, and it fits like a glove. Perfect. No alterations needed, it all fit me perfectly!! Dana then helped out with picking out the perfect accessories, from the Tiara to the veil, to the Bridal preservation box, SHE WORKED IT! She was soooo much fun and her energy is amazing. Kendall was very helpful in clipping the dress when the dress was too big and helping zip and unzip. She helped confirm my correct size, which I had an idea prior to showing up. Typically, I would not size down, but I was informed why and trusted who I was working with. Sizing down this would mainly affect my waist since it was a size up from the size I had ordered. When I picked up my dress, I tried it on, and it was so tight that I was shallow breathing, could only shuffle my feet and could barely take a step. I was told that after some of the excess fabric would be let out on the sides, then I would feel less constrained. I went to a seamstress who specializes in bridal, with over 60 years of experience, arguably an expert in the field. After my second dress fitting, she let out the fabric, and it was better, but I could still barely walk, and when trying to sit down, I had to have assistance on both sides to fall into the chair. Unfortunately, the fabric is not forgiving and will not stretch much. She said that, with how the dress was specifically made, there was not much else that could be done, and she has never seen a dress made like this in all of her years. I was not planning on having a reception dress, so this was the dress I planned to wear all day. I feel very upset since I will either be very uncomfortable during the day in this dress or will have to get a second dress, which I never planned to do. I would never expect the girls in the store to know how each dress is specifically made, but I would advise others to be cautious when being told to size down.
