This was my first time visiting as I wanted some advice on coloring my hair for next appointment. The 2 star rating is for the haircut I received. I have long hair, and expressed I'm looking for some angling in the front, a little layering, and overall keep the length because I'm a low maintenance hair girl. the first cut she makes is 8inches off of my top layer, all in one cut I couldn't believe how much hair was in my lap. The final result was a not very well blended style that is high maintenance to deal with, straightening it is out of the question because I have a ledge of unblended hair. Pretty upset but not sure how to fix it without taking off more length

My coworker: I went to Melissa in Manchester... Me: That's in my neck of the woods. Give me her contact info. Like...NOW. Well, it went down something like that. I'm trying to catch the enthusiasm and absolutely heart stopping need to get my hair done by whoever crafted what was on my co-worker's head. A phone call or two later, I had an appointment with Melissa. She's very accommodating and knows her stuff. Within a week, I was sitting in her chair and she was doing my hair cut using a technique I've never seen. She seems so casual, chats you up, and all the while she's eyeballing your head and hair 360 degrees. She cuts the hair wet. Then dries it and recuts its. Then she walks around your chair, checking out your hair and will go back in many times to do little tweaks and touch ups. Talk about good with details! You can tell she's been doing this for a long time because if your stylist has such a laid-back attitude while you're in the chair, you're either with an idiot or you're with someone who REALLY KNOWS what they're doing. Melissa definitely hit this cut out of the park. She was able to give me a really nice cut, she took a lot of hair out, gave it a shape, and it still has some length. I really like it. I felt before my hair was blah, which she pointed out what was going wrong with it, and how she would rectify it. And she went above rectifying...she gave me...Beautiful Hair. She is also very much into education. She will give you a ton of styling tips while you sit in the chair and after. She is adamant that if you have any questions, she's just a phone call away. So, to wrap this up, great little studio space, awesome stylist, and great hairstyle. Done. Done. Done. Get your butt over there. You won't regret it even if you have to drive a bit. She's that good.

Sejla is super attentive to what you want. She really went the extra mile to give me the haircut I wanted and even curled my hair to show me how it would look in it's natural state. She washed, blow dried, and then cut it (stylist preference, I assume) to see how the hair falls naturally without being wet. She worked on my hair for a while too, cutting away until I was happy with the end product. She had plenty of advice to give, and my hair came out exactly as I wanted it: not too short, but with plenty of layers. WORST EXPERIENCE!!…read more First off, I want to say that the girl who did my hair and the other girls who helped were very sweet. However, my experience with the manager, Ashley N., was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. As seen in pic 1, my hair was a pretty neutral/cool medium brown, which I had done myself at home. I was actually very happy with my hair color. My roots were just growing out, so I went to the salon specifically because I wanted my roots done to match the rest of my hair. When I went in, they bleached my roots and toned my entire head. Unfortunately, my hair came out very uneven, patchy, darker than I wanted, and much warmer than my original color, as seen in pics 2 and 3. I went back to the salon to have it fixed because I was obviously very unhappy with the result. Unfortunately, I still left with uneven color and a dark red-brown/chocolate color, as seen in pics 4 and 5. I was extremely upset because I had already been happy with my hair when I came in. I paid a lot of money for this service, and then I also had to take additional time out of my schedule to go back and have it fixed, only to still leave unhappy with the result. I did call the salon to ask for a refund, but the manager, Ashley N., repeatedly told me that the outcome was essentially my fault and that they had done "the best they could." If they felt they couldn't get my hair to the color I wanted, I wish they would have just been honest with me about that before doing all of these additional things to my hair. Instead, my hair went from a color I was already happy with to the red/chocolate brown color it is now. I even specifically asked the manager if she thought my hair looked cool or warm toned, and she told me, "I think it looks pretty cool toned." Looking at pics 4 and 5, I personally don't think the result looks cool toned at all. It looks noticeably warm and red compared to the color I originally came in with. When I asked the manager for a refund, she told me, "I can't give you a refund. I think it's best if we both just move on from this situation."
