I love this salon! It's so nice inside - they're in a newer building since just the past couple of years. Very beautiful and large space. I get my hair done by Randilynn and my nails by Francesca. Both are amazing. Nails - Fran is creative and her technique is great. Shaping is always perfect. She does mostly acrylic, or you can get hard gel. She has a huge selection of gel polishes, gems and charms, and special stuff like chrome or cat eye. Biggest thing is she can do ANY design and she WILL bring the vibe you're going for in your nails. Amazing, cannot stress that enough. Hair - Randilynn is great and knows all the tricks to create a style that will work with your hair. I don't really do much with my hair, she knows that and she's great with helping me plan lower maintenance styles. She's given me a couple different styles as I tend to change what I want often, and once we did my hair a deep green and it looked amazing. I've never been disappointed. Plus my hair is healthier these days after following her advice! read more

Crystal was so awesome--but I saw the other women there too and they did great jobs on their clients as well. I bought a groupon and was so glad I did! Crystal was very kind and when I told her I wanted VERY little length off, she did just that! Oftentimes hair dressers will cut off too much to make things "even" but this was not the case. And my highlights came out fabulous, she talked me through different coloring and showed me pictures beforehand to make sure I was comfortable. Loved my experience here and would definitely be back. Unfortunately Crystal will not be there any longer but everyone there is great! read more

I paid for a full set of highlights through a Groupon and instead got mostly the left side of my head done versus throughout as any true professional would do and when I contacted Rachel to express my concern in a calm manner she refused to correct HER mistake instead saying that I had to pay again!!! So impressed! I bought a Groupon for full highlights, cut, and style on a whim. Hair and girly stuff isn't really my thing. I always wear my hair long, curly, and however it dries. I never straighten it because I look terrible with straight hair... I thought. Corrina said she has a technique that leaves her clients happy. I said, "Okaaaay," knowing I wouldn't like it. I didn't know what color highlights to request, she took the time to compare some with my hair. The color came out perfect. After blowing it straight, my hair looked like someone else's hair. My hair has never been so light, non-frizzy, and relaxed looking. The layers are just gorgeous. I just can't believe this is my hair. Did I mention that?? I had an appointment for a cut, root touch up and partial highlight. The letter I received in the mail from the owner of the salon, stated my old hairdresser, Alex's had left over medical issues and they had hired a new hairdresser, Randilynn. & if I booked with her there was for 20% discount on your first appointment with her. I booked a cut, root touch up & highlights & stated that I had received a letter for a discoun & was told just to mention that when I was paying the bill. I received a cut & root touch up but no highlight. Randilynn stated she'd forgotten that was in fact what I had booked. When I went to pay & asked for the discount the receptionist & the owner refused to give me the discount & said I could get the highlights the next time I come in. I won't be going back & find this very poor ethics to send out a letter stating a discount with a new hairdresser & then flat out not honoring their own letter. read more

At first when you walk into the salon it is very outdated. Crystal was the stylist I booked with. I originally wanted a Ombré but she advised that wasn't the best thing to do. She ended up doing high and low lights and touching up my roots. At first I went along. I'm not sure why she did my roots as I don't have any greys and I actually like my hair dark on the top. The aftermath was not exactly what I was looking for. There were many grey and green tones in the highlights. I felt like crying but didn't want to damage my hair anymore so decided I would just walk away with what I had. Another upsetting factor is that even with a groupon that was worth $140 I ended up paying $115 still out of pocket. read more

After 13 years going to the same stylist, I moved and needed to find a local salon, and lo and behold Reflexions had a Groupon. So off I went, somewhat nervously, for a cut n' color with Emily. It's an outdated place and somewhat hard to find. There was no overwhelming feeling of welcome; it was more like I was a curiosity because I was a new face. I've never seen a place where the stylists are all lined up along the wall with a sink at each station. No privacy because you're right on top of each other. But whatever. Emily suggested a darker shade and was attentive to the short style I requested (tapered sides and back, longer on top). I left pretty happy, with gorgeous color and a cut that got me lots of compliments, not to mention an offer for 15% off my next service. Three months later I went back for the same thing. It was a completely different experience. I was left to sit awkwardly out in the open for 30 minutes in the same chair while my color "cooked" (her words). Somehow she missed coloring a section of hair above my right ear, and the longer top layers were not *at all* blended in with the shorter sides. The result is hair that looks like it was cut by a 6-year-old with a Flowbee. Perhaps she should have been a little more focused on my hair rather than loudly chatting it up with the customer literally 3 feet away and the stylist behind me. It took 2-3 weeks before I felt like I could leave the house looking somewhat normal. Needless to say, no compliments the second time - and people couldn't believe the same stylist could produce such different results. Three stars because the first time was good but the second time was awful. Won't risk a third visit. Maybe they're constantly on Groupon for a reason. Live n' learn. read more

I saw Rachel today for a cut and full foil of highlights. I was in desperate need of getting my hair done and I'm fairly new to the area so when I found a Groupon for Reflexions for 65$ for a cut and full foil highlight color I jumped on it and purchased it immediately. When I first arrived at the place I was a little skeptical just because it's in a shopping plaza and I almost missed it and it's doesn't have super updated decor like many other salons in the area. Rachel took care of me right away and she was extremely friendly and professional. We discussed my hair goals and wants and she gave me what I wanted while also taking the health of my hair into consideration. I am very happy with how my hair turned out and from what I could tell there were quite a few satisfied customers in the salon at the same time as me. My only complaint is that I discovered while chatting with Rachel was that the groupon I purchased is only allowed to be used once by a first time customer so my next cut and full foil will be 140$. Although it is pricey I don't mind paying if the results are as beautiful as they are this time! read more

I've been going to Emily for a while now. I have dark brown hair that I keep almost blonde. After I moved to West Hartford, I had problems finding stylists who didn't fry my hair. Emily does a great job - color and cut always come out beautiful. My hair is thick and wavy, and Emily knows how to cut it correctly. Last time, I cut my hair shorter than it had been in years. I knew I wanted to do it, but if Emily hadn't been reassuring about it and done the whole, "it's up to you" thing, then I would have chickened out. I was really happy with the outcome - it's a much more mature looking style for me. It takes about 2.5 hours for a partial highlight and cut which is GREAT for my extremely thick hair - I've had the same service take upwards of 4 hours. I see some comments about the salon being outdated - that has never bothered me, and I think it is reflected in the pricing. If you're looking for a ritzy salon and you're willing to pay steep prices, you're better off in nearby West Hartford center. read more

Like others had a groupon! Wish I has seen the highlight one as I got a cut and highlights but it was still worth every penny! The salon itself is a little older and could use some sprucing/tidying up, but I liked how the sink was right at the stylists station! Corinna knew exactly what she was doing. The cut was just perfect. The way she styled it after was gorgeous! Usually any stylist I go to tries to completely flat iron or blow out my hair. She blew it out but left my natural curls on the bottom which was just perfect. My hair color was little brassier than I wanted but not her fault.
