    This company is NOT for renters. HORRIBLE, do not use. Over priced, NEVER take care of anything on…read moretime. I can write a book of how lousy this property mgmt is and they charge the renter 100 bucks each time to fix something BUT NOTHING GETS FIXED OR REPLACED. If replaced, like the kitchen faucet, replaced with not even same quality, but the cheapest and plumber told to install the cheapest. Had them out to fix it since it was so poorly made. For what we pay in rent, they should replace with same quality. Waiting FOUR MONTHS now for dishwasher, that stunk so bad, rasta coming up from the floors, now they finally had someone out this past week FINALLY to close the holes under the counters that were never sealed! Rat poop all over the kitchen under the counters, DISGUSTING and they don't care. Not to mention when you call they claim to never receive any messages or emails or complaints!! This is the worst company. And if you're a property owner, they DO NOT take care of your property. I wouldn't trust this company to handle my property or tenants. Unprofessional, greedy, uncaring, and never received compensation for any of this, even past issues they refuse to pay for even when we had a plumber out last year and paid key 3 mgmt! They refused to fix plumbing issue because too much! We paid 100 bucks to hear that!!?? MAKE ME SICK!

He was a solid agent with superb interpersonal skills and driven professional work ethic! Within a relatively short 2-3 month timeframe, we had renters in the house. Billy kept us appraised as to the development of potential renters, reviews by potential renters and remained open to renters willing to buy (our request). Although not a huge deal, and the main reason for a four star rating vice five star, I was not informed all utility bills were transferred from my name to the companies name, which is fine and makes payment more streamline, but it would have been nice to know. After calling the front office staff, who were incredible BTW, I was able to get things sorted out. Paying everything through their convenient website was streamline, quick and efficient. It makes paying for entering very easy! Very good system! Good team, consisting of professional, dedicated, customer-service oriented members. Very impressed

From day one, despite meeting all stated rental qualifications, I was told they were unsure if they wanted to rent to me (which in hindsight I believe the issue was my race. ) . No clear reason was provided, which raised serious concerns for me. I made it clear that I met their requirements and was willing to move forward under the listed terms, but I would not agree to any unfair or additional conditions. After they were unable to find another tenant, they proceeded with renting the property to me. Upon move-in, the home was in unacceptable condition. It was not properly cleaned, and there were multiple issues that I immediately reported after my walkthrough. I was told that no additional cleaning or repairs would be done prior to move-in. Due to my circumstances, I had no choice but to proceed. Shortly after moving in, I discovered that the shower would not drain properly. I submitted a maintenance request, expecting communication before any visit. Instead, a third-party vendor was sent without notice while I was not home, and I was charged for the visit. I disputed the charge but received no resolution and ultimately had to pay it. Throughout the winter, my heating bills were extremely high around $300 per month for a home under 900 square feet. This further confirmed my concerns about the property's condition, including insulation and overall maintenance, which I had raised at the beginning. Ironically, once I gave notice that I would be moving out, the city came to inspect the property and cited multiple issues I had previously reported, including problems with insulation and the garage door. This is a family-run business, and my interactions with staff were consistently negative. I found them to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Communication felt uncomfortable and unproductive, as my concerns were not taken seriously. To make matters worse, after moving out, I was price gouged with additional charges that felt excessive and unjustified. If you own a property managed by the Nelson family, this is the type of experience your tenants are having. If you're wondering why tenant turnover is high, this is likely why. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting from Nelson Property Management. Renters deserve to be treated fairly, with respect, and to live in a property that is properly maintained. If you are Black, be very careful with this team. Read the reviews. They are telling the truth. I truly wish I would have listened.

The newest manger is the worst I've seen yet and I was there 5 years. The amount of lying they will do for change is exactly how you know how bad the place is. Never never never move to the 3rd floor. My DTE bill was over 400 a month running 2 air conditioners and it was still 80 degrees in the apartment. My cars were vandalized twice in the parking lot and they have no cameras, I had to get an emotional support dog because THEIR maintenance man tried to break in my apartment. Just a disgusting place to live. I would never ever live there or especially never take any kids in that place!! I had to buy drano every week because the pipes were messed up for 3 YEARS! Definitely a slum and they are completely unfair.....stay away!!

Just recently this new leasing manager JOYCE and renee the regional manager has canceled my lease over "multiple complaints" and when I went to ask what the complaints were they told me they didn't have to provide me proof and called the police on me. Joyce came to my house at 9am a month or two ago yelling and screaming , calling me out my name about a bag of trash ! I work 6:30pm - 5am for the past two years. Sometimes I leave a bag of trash outside my door when I am cleaning and take it a hour or two later. So yes I defended myself and returned the same energy. Again just last week I had i had a bag of trash out my home for literally 1 hour before picking my child up from school. She texted me complaining & I simply told her I just took it out and it's better things to worry about like why the hallways smell cat and dog pee , extra people living in the building its never anywhere to park when I get off work ! It's dog poop everywhere in the grass. I got off work one day and it was dog poop in front of my door and my child almost stepped in it . I complained and no one got in trouble or a mass text wasnt provided. I leave a bag a trash outside my door and tell her how she need to worry about other things and not me and not my lease is canceled I have until dec31st to move ! I PAY MY RENT , work , and take care of my child. They are putting me and my child out in the middle of winter because of a personal issue ! I have been here 5 years no problems until Joyce got here , it's been 3 evictions , 4 move outs & 2 deaths in the past 6months she has been here . I am done ! I go to the office for the regional manager contact information and this lady SHUT THE DOOR IN MY FACE ! (I have video). Then proceeds to open the door and smile and stick her tongue out at me. This childish behavior is very unprofessional and it's effecting my personal life. I don't have time for these games . I will be moving in peace. Karma skips no one
