The only issue I had was my neighbor smoked. I am not a smoker so that really bothered me and I decided to move. I originally was interested in the Birmingham townhomes but there were no vacancies. The loft apartment is what attracted me to the TreeTops in Northville but I chose a 1 bdrm w/ a den instead. I enjoyed my apartment, the wildlife and I had a nice view of the river stream that passed behind the property. Would I return? Yes!

Seriously, George told me he filed 126 small claims cases this month! Arlington Townhomes and Apartments has filed 606 cases since 1991. Don't be one of the people who gets sued! Don't rent from their fourteen properties. George even admitted he doesn't have time to communicate because they have so many tenants/buildings... they literally admitted that they don't have time for their tenants. Big eff these guys!

It wasn't a bad apartment for the cost, but it was in a very old building. There was only two stories and the interior decor and furnishings looked reminiscent of the 70s maybe. Many of the Amber apartments now of course are much nicer and have town houses and condos available to rent now. I had a small bedroom with one small bathroom, but it had a long closet in the hallway, which was part of the living room area. The kitchen was fairly small as well, but functional. It surprisingly had a large dining area that fit my 12 seater table. Don't see much updates to the old apartments since then. It isn't the nicest or most luxurious the most updated apartment, but it worked for six months. If you intend to stay longer, I would advise otherwise.

To make matters worse, the contractor was not paid because management claimed the repair was unauthorized, despite the tenant stating it had been approved. Management acknowledged the situation was "unfortunate" but stated it was not their responsibility and did not view the delay as a problem. As a result of the nonpayment, the contractor returned and removed pipes and hardware, leaving the shower unusable again. This situation could have been avoided with effective communication, which this company consistently fails to provide. I recommend finding another property management company.
