Great customer service, fair prices. The vans aren't the newest but were perfect for my needs…read more Not all vans have car seat anchors so check beforehand if that's a must for you. Our van had AC and a newer radio/CD unit that included a remote control. It's also worth noting that they don't always have standard office hours so if you schedule a pickup at 2p, they may have a guy waiting for you at 2p (and that guy wants to leave at 2:15). So as I learned, if you're not going to make your pickup time exactly, give them a ring as a heads up. Also, you wouldn't know ASAP is in the office park as there are no signs street side so remember the actual street number address 8869. When you arrive, you drive between the two buildings and they're on the inside courtyard on the left.

I called Safi Car Rental because one of their renters hit my car in a minor incident and left some…read moredamage. I was hoping to get Safi's insurance information to start a claim, but the person I spoke to on the phone insisted that they didn't have insurance and I needed to speak with the renter's personal insurance. How is your business renting cars and you have no insurance of your own and are passing liability down to the renter? That is against California state law, which requires car rental companies to hold their own insurance in the amount of at least $5,000 for property damage. I've started a claim with the renter's personal auto insurance and if Safi doesn't want to give me that information, I hope they give it to the insurance adjuster that will be calling this week. And I really hope it doesn't come to the DMV asking them some pointed questions about their lack of insurance and refusal to cooperate with third parties who are legally entitled to this information. Advice to those who find themselves in my situation: don't waste your time calling Safi directly the way I did. Just start the claim as a third-party with the renter's personal auto insurance and let their adjuster do the legwork for you.

During the time span of two and a half months, I rented from Express Rent A Car. Overall it's worth…read moreit, well deserved four stars, here's why: 1. You are required to have $600 cash deposit, I was fully unaware of this as I just flew in and was expecting to rent from the airport but things didn't go as planned. Long story short, I was shuttled to the nearest ATM so I could easily pull $600 to secure my deposit. 2. The cars given to you are in used condition but overall great. They inspect the car with you there, I suggest you THROUGHLY inspect the car, is it clean? Are the seats attached? Does the a/c work? When was the last oil change? Take a picture of your gas and mileage before leaving the lot. When I received the first car, the seat attachments were missing. We were both unaware, as this was my first time renting and they don't usually drive the cars as daily's. I found out by my 4 year old car seat moving forward while braking. I informed Express immediately and was told to bring the car in so it could be looked at and then I was accommodated with another car in replace of that one. The issue was resolved but the risk was high but had they known of the issue, as well as me, before driving off the lot, they would have not issued me the car. The cars are not handed to you on full gas. I was given a total of 3 different cars. The first 2 on empty and the last one over half. I rented out every week and then once for 2 weeks. I also return the last car on a full tank, their policy is to return the car at what you were handed. 3. The price varies on the car. I have paid $274- $267 a week and the one time I rented for 2 weeks it came out to $534. WAY cheaper than renting out twice the amount at an airport rental. 4. Location. Express is a few blocks across from the airport rental cars. They will offer to pick you up from the airport or you can go by your own form of transportation. I paid a total of $20 including the tip from uber, without the tip it would have been $6. 5. Variety selection on cars from your regular sedan car to SUV/ trucks to a mustang. Prices do vary. I was tempted to upgrade to a suv because it had Bluetooth but you're paying twice the amount for a sedan for just one week. Most of the cars do not have Bluetooth, a few do, the more up with technology the more likely the price will be up. Although, I just went and spent $20 extra at a store for a radio bluetooth transmitter to connect my phone to the car with Bluetooth. Well worth it. A few things I recommend: 1. make sure the contract you are signing is matched to the t: mileage, gas, condition. 2. Take pictures of the car before you leave to compare when you return it. 3. Ask and confirm on the contract, how many mileage a day you are allowed. 4. Double check your rental agreement. I have no issues, the mileage I was told would be allowed would not match the agreement and when I asked I was informed the mileage in the agreement did not apply. I was given my $600 deposit back in cash yesterday 09/28/24 after turning the car in. This place is definitely a place you would want to try out whether if you're from here or just visiting. Especially if you're trying to save. I've rented a Toyota Corolla, accommodated with the Nissan Rogue, and was switched with a Mitsubishi Lancer.

"BUYER BEWARE" This place was still semi ok not long ago but…read morenow it's just a bunch of "hoodlums" trying to getcha! And the RED FLAGS start right at their website where it says if you fill out info it will give you a price. It used to, but not any more. You still submit the request thinking that they will then reply with a quote...they DONT! I think their aim is that you show up in person the day you NEED the car, so that they can have you exactly where they want you. And so, if their website says it's all inclusive (insurance, liability, taxes) then when you're in person, why do they give you one price and then a Higher one "if you need insurance"???? Oh and btw...if your credit card protects rentals, they object to that and by "they" i mean literal, cause the other co-workers chime in, as if one vulture isn't enough. Last time I rented, the engine light did come on the car, so when they were reasonable and semi-decent it mightve been ok putting up with car issues but now, that they stuck, I will not be bothering with them at all!!

The car wasn't brand-new (nor did I expect it to be‼), but I just wanted something reliable that drove from Point A to Point B. My rental looked more than decent & was very dependable. I liked how convenient it was to drop-off my rental in their parking lot after business hours too! And I received my deposit back the next day. If you are looking for a car to look flashy in however this may not be the place for you. I subtracted one star because: Every time you rent from them, you have to pay extra for a credit check which I am totally fine with. However even if you rented a car from them a wk ago - you still have to pay for another credit check to obtain a rental. Also, I had reserved a rental using their online reservation system but when I called to confirm if the vehicle was available, the agent told me the reservation never went through. Finally, the rental car market was pretty much saturated in July (not their fault) + I was told to keep calling to see if they had any available rentals. The person who was answering the phones sounded a bit annoyed when I called multiple times. All in all, a great place to goif you are looking for an affordable rental car solution!!
