I have rented from Rent Plus over Christmas 2025. I booked the car and paid on-line. Everything was paid for. I rented for 10 days (only driving in Czech Republic). They charged me almost $700 additional fee for insurance for 10 days! I tried to call while I was in Prague but no one was picking up. I tried going to the counter again one morning, the Rent Plus counter was closed, so I ended up talking to another company also renting at the Airport. They told me they charge maximum of $30/day insurance for their best cars but never $70! After I returned the car, I was charged and additional $35, no idea why, no explanation, just a charge appeared on my credit card. There is no way to contact them. RENT PLUS Scam Alert - $275 Surprise Fee After Return If you are looking to rent a car while visiting, avoid RENT PLUS at all costs. Rented from Rent Plus at Prague Airport for a short trip to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. Told the agent we were visiting Bastei Bridge in Germany-- in addition to being told "all tolls are covered" he proceeded to give us recommendations as to what to visit in the area as he and his friends "visited often". It was very clear to him we were going to be visiting Germany briefly (3 hours in total). No mention of any border fee. Returned the car, told we were "all set," then hit with a $275 fee after we left the country. No warning and no way to reach customer service from the U.S. Others have reported the same thing. Dunno what the fuzz is about you read in the reviews. It´s mostly on fees and damages. Well ... if you cannot read the contract and return the car with damages you can hardly expect the company to not charge you for that. I am a long term client with many dozens of rentals and I am all happy. They are efficient, quick and much less expensive than the big rental companies. read more

I visited NÜ on October 19th, between 9 and 10 am) to pick up a car I rented through Expedia for the day. The booking was for 9 am, but when we arrived, the girl at the desk--the RUDEST AND MOST AGGRESSIVE EMPLOYEE I'VE EVER DEALT WITH--told us the car wasn't there yet and that we would need to wait at least 20 minutes. I asked if we could start the check-in process while waiting, but she refused. When we returned after 20 minutes, I handed her my documents, and she informed us that the insurance deposit would be €6,000. I asked her to repeat this because I thought she meant 6,000 CZK. I explained that on Expedia, I had already paid for full insurance, and the payment page stated that the maximum amount I could be charged for the deposit would be €1,000, not €6,000. SHE LAUGHED IN MY FACE, MOCKING ME, and rudely told us that was the price for the deposit. My friend then asked if there was a way to pay less, and she said that if we opted for the full insurance (which was odd because I had already paid for it on Expedia), the deposit would "only" be €2,000. She was the RUDEST EMPLOYEE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED, clearly lazy for not bothering to explain all the options, and ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTFUL towards the customer. A Nightmare Experience with RENT PLUS S.R.O.- Avoid at All Costs! We recently had the unfortunate experience of renting a car from RENT PLUS S.R.O. and I can confidently say it was one of the worst decisions we ever made. From start to finish, the experience was riddled with issues that can only be described as a blatant scam. Firstly, the pricing was misleading. When I initially booked the car online, the quoted price seemed reasonable. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, they tacked on a series of unexpected fees that nearly doubled the price I was led to believe I'd be paying. These "added fees" were vague and poorly explained, leaving me feeling trapped and powerless. It was evident they rely on obscured pricing strategies to lure customers in. The vehicle itself was in terrible condition. It was dirty, with leftover trash from previous renters, and the maintenance seemed neglected. When we brought these issues to the attention of the staff, they were dismissive and unhelpful, leaving us to fend for ourselves. To make matters worse, when we returned the car, nothing was mentioned to us but after 24 hrs. we were accused of damages that were already present when we took the vehicle. They charged our credit card on file without our authorization for fictitious repairs, despite many attempts to reverse their charge they did not reply to our request. Their customer service was non-existent; We felt completely disregarded as a customer. They are a company created, designed and in business of defrauding their customer through lies, deception and fraud. The cherry on top of this is $1500 charge for claiming that we drove to Mostar, Bosnia for 3 Hrs. without permission. They never told us that during our rental pickup. Also dreadful experience was the difficulty I faced in reaching their customer service after the rental. We were put on hold for what felt like an eternity, only to receive unhelpful responses that did nothing to resolve my concerns or disputes over the additional charges. In summary, my experience with RENT PLUS S.R.O. was not just disappointing--it was a complete scam. I urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this company like the plague. Check the various forums about this company. It appears RentPlus uses this as standard business procedure. We had a large charge put on our Visa card and after many unanswered phone calls and emails, they said it was a penalty for driving the car over the border. We never even went near a border. How and why does RentPlus come up with this? Before being seduced by lower prices, always do your due diligence. There are so many stories about this company and its fraudulent business practices. I have selected this company as it pop up on me while booking my flight ticket with airlines. Booking went smooth. When we have arrived to pick up the car we were told that the car we selected ( Volkswagen up 2021 model guaranteed) is not available and they will upgrade us for bigger car for same price ( Skoda Fabia combi) We were not so happy about it as we really wanted a small car but we didn't wanted to delay the trip. We were told that we have selected the basic insurance and it would be better to add the one they offer for extra 70 euro as if something will happen we will need to pay the damage to them and after claim it from the airlines company we booked through. Before leaving we have asked the gentlemen if anyone will come with us to check the car for any existing damages but he said its not necessary and if we see anything to come back and let him know. We have investigated the car and found 2 scratches on the back side of the car and also the fuel tank was not full as stated on our contract but 2 lines were missing. We have returned all the way back and informed the guy. He didn't even bordered to come to check and mark the damage of the car on the enclosed paper work. When we have returned the car we have handed all the necessary paper work to the guy on shift and asked him if he wants to check the car before we leave and again was told its ok. He asked us if we have top up the petrol and I have explained to him yes to the way as it was handed to us ( even we left a bit more) and explained it was not a full tank when we took the car and that it was mentioned to the staff on duty that day. Two days after returning home I have been charged 28 euro to my guaranteed card with no explanation or receipt. I have sent several emails to the office at the airport and also head quarters asking for the reason of the charge ( Of course of I would have any pending penalty etc. I would be happy to pay) and a receipt but with no reply. I have called for several days, but with no reply or they just hang up on me ( When my sister tried to call the same number from Czech number they picked up immediately) So please if you go with any company always check the fuel and damages and take pictures and dont leave without written note from the staff about it. I will have to deal with my bank regarding this as I will not let it go. Its not about the money but the principle. I want to know what I was charged for. If you charge my card send me a receipt with explanation. I will not recommend this company and will not do business with them again. read more

Worst rental car company, they earn money by charging people for damage they didn't do. I got charged 5000 CZK for damage to the front wheel. First of all I wasn't involved in any accident or go close to the curb, secondly there was just a tiny scratch but the price charged is more than a price of a wheel. This company has charged me extra 6300 czk after the car was returned in ideal condition for crossing the border with other country in European Union..... The corresponding vignette was also paid, moreover I specifically asked the manager during the phone call if I can cross the border, and I was given quite a plain answer "yes". Nobody mentioned about the fees and penalties. I see there are many people out there with the problem therefore I advise to avoid this company by any costs!! read more

This company demonstrates extremely poor business practice and that is why you will find them to be one of the cheaper rental companies in Prague. The company selectively chooses only to present positive reviews on the website because I couldn't locate anywhere to submit mine. We were told at checkout that a $15 fee would cover out of country travel and allow us to move freely between central/Eastern European countries (Austria,Slovakia,Slovenia). Assured that we were in the clear of registering our rental car, we were pulled over at a routine stop in Austria and charged €120 for not having a sticker on our rental car for travel on roads. Even the highway officer told us to show the receipt to the rental company in order to be refunded. We did show the receipt to this company and the employee at the counter, Jakob, refused to forward us to a manager when asked and proceeded to cut off further communication. This company already has a bad reputation for being cheap and I will make sure to spread the word to other university students in Prague. read more

I just had similar situation - there was no damage to the car what so ever , it was securely parked and driven only twice- from and to airport, upon returning the car i was charged for multiple tiny scratches , disk scratches that normally regular tear and wear and had been there forever- car had 38000+ km. IT WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A RENTAL CAR. I rent more than 50 cars a year and such an issue has never happened to me. I rented a car from Rent Plus in Czech Republic and I returned it the next day. After two weeks I noticed that they charged my card for another extra CZK 5,000. After further investigation through my bank, I realized that I was charged for a damage to the vehicle. The documents that I received from my bank showed that they added number of statements AFTER I signed the paperwork. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO ADD STATEMENTS TO AN ALREADY SIGNED FORM. I was not told anything nigher verbally nor in writing about any damages to the car when I returned it. I also had purchased full insurance coverage from them that was supposed to cover any damages to the vehicle. read more

Simply put, RENT PLUS is a top firm, client friendly, you only deal with professionals speaking fluently different languages...simply 10 out 10 And it comes without saying that a car rented at the airport can be brought back to their offices in center of Prague and vice-versa Should you have a delay due to traffic on your day of return, no problem, just call them and they gladly give you 1-2 hours extra without any surcharge What should I add? ...I am flying regularly to Prague / CZ and I regularly rent a car with RENT PLUS only...furthermore, after 3 or more rentals, you can apply for a VIP client status gaining regular and interesting reductictions on your next rentals... The worst experience I've ever had with a car rental! I fly more than 50 times a year and because of that I often use rental cars. First of all I had to pay for an insurance although it was included in the contract according to the website. The stuff of the carrent told me to complain to rentalcars, the problem would be known and this would have been reported several times but rentalcars would not react at all. Furthermore I was advised to take out a fully comprehensive insurance 3-4 times. Which I denied several times. The vehicle was damaged in several places, I have entered this on the usual fields in the rental agreement and am back to the office of the carrent. There I was told that the image of the vehicle on the rental contract is not in use, I would have to enter it on a separate form. So I went back to the vehicle and entered it there. All in all, this process took an hour. Again at the office they refused to confirm the damage, I should take photos now. The Rentalcars hotline was not available. The carrent did not want to confirm the damages, they offered to cancel the contract. Then they did not want to pay back the deposit. Only after I called the police was the deposit and additional insurance refunded to me. The payment which I made to RentalCars was not refunded to me until today despite promise in presence of the police until today. I have now called in a lawyer and filed a fraud report and reported the misuse to VISA. read more

I have had also very bad experience(s) with this company, as I can now see, many have too. They charged me CZK10000 to my credit card after I had been told everything was fine at the airport drop off. They did not even bother to let me know why. Only after I had written to them and CarTrawler, they send me kind of 'half' reply that it was for two little scratches. (?) They were really negligible, not caused by any 'particular' incident, something what a decent company regards like normal wear and tear. Currently, I have dispute with them ongoing. This was the third time I booked a car with them through CarTrawler. Not once (!) they provided me with their advertised 'Guaranteed Car Model', but always offered lesser/smaller vehicle. Never they showed any regrets, on the contrary, always blamed CarTrawler and made me to pay more for a car that would suit my needs. Always had to get my money back through CarTrawler (credit to them). Needless to say that I will never come anywhere close to this circus again. I have rented lots of cars in many countries over last 25 years. Not once I had any issue with any of them but with this one. I used them three times and three times I had problem. When in Prague, use Europcar or Sixt. They are both very good. Few classes above the Rent Plus. read more

Rented a nice car from Prague airport,paid very high deposit (15,000kc) but when I returned the car 9 days later the deposit was never paid back.It has been over a month now and I'm still trying to chase it however Rentplus are not cooperating and are not interested in solving it. They are not replying to my emails and only wrote one email back insisting that they have done nothing wrong. NEVER hire a car from them! I would prefer not to give any star but that's not an option. read more
