We needed some work done on our motorhome while staying in Spearfish. We started communicating…read morewith several dealerships in the area by email. This was the only one that eventually accomplished scheduling our appointment. But we did have to call them a couple of times to keep the communication going. This dealership also offered an overnight site with electric (and a few with water) as our repairs was expected to take two days. There were a couple of issues with the site. First, we called on Saturday to confirm there would be a site available for our Sunday arrival. The dealership didn't show us on the schedule for repairs but they cleared a site for us. However they couldn't guarantee the spot would still be open when we arrived as they are closed on Sunday. Only a few of the sites could reach the limited number of water connections. The electric service was only 30 AMP. Many of the sites seemed to used by unoccupied RV's. So don't rely on there being a site for use by patrons getting service done. As for the repairs/service, they accomplished the required repairs/service as promised. They kept us informed of the progress. They even had some other parts in stock so we were able to get on the road a day early. We would return to them for repairs/service if ever in the area again.

It was our first time in an RV, but we were long term on a Job assignment, so we were staying through the winter in our brand new 2021 RV. The weather was getting in the negatives, so obviously warmth was critical, but our furnace stopped blowing warm air. We tried to troubleshoot it ourselves and got it working for a little bit, but it failed again the following day. We have pets, so if we're out, we leave them at home. We couldn't very well leave them in a below freezing camper. So, we decided to call a mobile tech. Now Camping World suggested 3 in the area. We called the first two services and nobody even picked up the phone, but when we called TravelTyme, a gentleman by the name of "Dustin" picked up on the first ring. We explained the problem and he immediately eased our worries by telling us that he would be right out. We called him at 10:30am and he was at our doorstep within 20 minutes. How awesome is that. Now get this, our problem was with our Dometic Furnace. Dustin just happened to be a distributor for Dometic! Which meant that not only could he identify and fix the issue with relative ease, but he could also file the warranty information with Dometic, meaning that all we needed to pay for was the service call...and he did just that! He was in and out within 20 minutes. Replaced our sail switch and got our heat running. Most importantly, he gave us the assurance that we needed to trust our equipment to operate as it was designed to. Which meant that we can go about our day and leave our pets in a warm comfy home, knowing that they will be safe and warm. Labor estimate was $500 BUT they were "unable" to tell me what type of flywheel I would need. Somehow their computer couldnt look up what parts they would need to make the repair so my quote was an open ended $1200. They said they wouldnt know until they pulled the transmission....REALLY? Are people that dumb? Sure, let me leave you my car, NOT knowing how much you really intend to rip me off because you "dont know" I seriously hope no one is that naive.
