Excellent experience renting a car here…read more Cars are right next to rental desk--no shuttle required. Agent gave me the choice of cars and assigned me a very low mileage clean car I was thankful for. When I returned the car the other Agent was just as helpful. Great people were working here when I rented and returned. --- Had a problem using the Toll Device on the car--took that up with corporate and they refunded me one service charge. The device is supposed to charge you only one service charge in a 24 hour period--not a calendar day but the software was charging me a service charge for each day and not waiting 24 hours to charge. Careful driving over NYC Bridges and Tunnels with the device--For example--The Whitestone Bridge does not recognize it and will charge you the same much higher price as if you did not have a device. NYC has all these tricks to get more money out of you. Every-time I drive in NYC they find a way to charge me more money for something.

Avoid this location…read more I booked a Standard Elite SUV through Priceline for Sept 1 to 7. The Priceline receipt shows a total cost of $469.15 (photo attached). At the counter, the agent offered me a Suburban for $50 more per day, and I took it. After one day my mother couldn't climb into it, so I filled the tank and swapped it for a smaller car the next day. My bill should have been $519.15. Avis charged me $1,586.65. That's more than three times my booking, and $647.93 more than Avis's own e-receipt. I went back to the counter and asked for a refund. They told me it would be credited to my account in five business days. It never was. One employee told me, "Corporate Avis doesn't care what we do here, and they will not help you." When I disputed the charge with my card company, Avis sent them a receipt for the full $1,586.65 as if nothing was wrong. They took advantage of a bad situation, then broke their own promise to fix it. I will never rent from this location again. If you have to rent here, turn down the upgrade, get every price in writing, and check your card statement the day you return the car.

I'm used to just picking out my vehicle and going, but the person checking me in walked me to the door and showed me where the spot was so I wasn't wondering around the lot. A few weeks later I reached out again and she had a camper available for 4th weekend! I would have given up but somehow we planned the whole thing on wed night and had the camper delivered to the camp ground before we even got there on Friday. It was literally a lifesaver. Sunny is also very honest about everything. I asked her if I could borrow canopy but she wrote me back how we don't need one as the camper came with an awning. She also let us keep the camper for a couple hours longer as she knew we had 3 kids with us. Highly recommend renting from Sunny. Only reason we even went camping this year!
