I was worried when I didn't see any recent reviews, or many in English, but I had no reason to be worried! This place was busy every day we were here (we stayed a week, and would walk by their little alley shop frequently). The owner and all employees are nice, helpful, and up-front and matter of fact about cycling in this city. I was a little skeptical about riding a tandem bike but the owner basically said "it's a little different, but you can do it". (Like I said, matter of fact. Haha.) My husband and older son ended up renting the tandem and rode without problem and I rented a bike with rear child seat for me and my younger son. It looked like they had every kind of bike you'd want to rent in stock, including those adorable bakfiet cargo bikes. It was perfect. We biked EVERYWHERE the week that we stayed in Amsterdam and I'm convinced It's the only way to get around in Amsterdam. We biked to museums, to central station to catch trains, to restaurants for dinner, and to shopping. The prices were quite reasonable. The standard bike with rear child seat was something like 12 Euros/day for first day and 9 Euros/day thereafter and the tandem was around 25 Euros/day. The best part: I have been in search of a front rack that will fit my Dutch bike at home in the US, and the owner (I believe) basically brought me back to their store room and said he would just give me one of their second hand racks. He then (very) patiently answered all my questions about installing it and held the rack while I took pics to make sure I knew what to do once home. Seriously nice, and acted like it was no big deal. Rent from here and you'll be in good hands and on good wheels!!! read more
