Went to pickup a weed eater and they lost it and lost the shaft for it, do not go to this placeread more

Up until a couple weeks ago, I've had nothing but great things to say about Rural King. This is why…read moreI left the 2nd star. However, my last 2 visits (at the Waverly, OH location) were simply awful. I called to double-check when they closed but still got there around closing time one evening and, despite the inside lights being on and shoppers still milling about shopping, the doors were locked. Some businesses do that at closing time, I was too late, no biggie...except for the employees and the folks they were checking out gawking at me like I had 2 heads and laughing as I went about checking the door. Feeling insulted, I called the store and got the security guard. I explained that I called before making the drive into town and what happened when I got there. She went to get the manager on the line but, as the wait took longer than my patience could stand, I hung up and started the drive home. As I drove off, I saw someone turn on the parking lot lights and stand in the door. I assumed it was the manager (if he was trying to assist my situation, I commend him but my patience was done at that point, so I didn't turn around). Today, I came through out of necessity (though I'd intended to boycott them on principle, I have 25+ furbabies that gotta eat). No sooner do I walk in the door, I thought I heard an employee say to another "That's her...". Whether I'd heard right or not, I just ignored it. But then, every employee I encountered scowled at me, if they acknowledged me at all. You'd think I'd kicked their dog or something. I don't know any of them personally, so why the sh*t treatment, I couldn't tell ya. Normally, they're at least courteous, if not downright friendly. The scowling woman who checked me out said not one word (not hello, not good morning, nothing) and threw my bag into the cart. She didn't set it, or toss it to make it into the cart, she threw it with an attitude before turning her back on me quite rudely. That was my final straw. I'm done with Rural King. There are other places to get the stuff I buy there, with much more professional staff. Never mind that only they carry the brands of the pet foods I get...I'll pay a couple bucks extra somewhere else and transition my animals to another brand. I'm not one to spend my hard-earned money at a place if I don't like the way they run things, or treat people. As a consumer, I can do much better and I can relate my experience to other consumers. Rural King, you just lost a solid and regular customer today. I highly suggest you train your staff in professional customer service before you lose more.

Being from a large city, one would expect the big city funeral homes to offer a more comfortable environment, greater services, nicer facilities, etc. than could be offered from a small town funeral home. This is not the case. Boyer offers a first class facility and first class attention to detail. When my sister passed away 5 years ago we used a local funeral home in Westerville, Ohio and I was very disappointed in the treatment and quality of service my family received in comparison to Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio. I only wish I could have had Boyer in Westerville for that service. I would have been way more comfortable having these folks handle her arrangements instead of having regrets over a second class environment. Dave Boyer and Greg Boyer have been so amazingly attentive to the needs of our family during a very difficult time. The chapel is warm and inviting. The people are friendly and helpful. They actually care about you, and not just their bottom line. Thank you to Boyer Funeral Home for keeping your mission focused on what is important to families during a time of extreme sadness and pain.
