The office is very cozy, and there is a true holistic approach taken where Bryce takes the time to get to know you, your body, your goals, and the level of treatment you're comfortable with to achieve those goals. I suffered a severe injury to my left hand (my dominant hand) in 2018 that involved a double tendon repair and months of Occupational Therapy. I was still left with fairly constant pain, even though my recovery was one of the best my hand surgeon had seen. There were adhesions in the scar that eventually caused the constant pain to spread up my arm and into my left shoulder. After seeing Bryce, I feel like I have my life back. The pain was chronic and there was just nothing that helped before seeing Bryce. I'd truly lost hope I'd ever have a day where I didn't ache. We've been working on loosening the scar adhesions, and it is like night and day after two appointments focused on that. I highly encourage you to check out Stone Guardian if you're experiencing chronic pain. My hand is almost back to full functionality, and I literally never thought that would be possible.

I had been struggling with chronic pain issues for years, and was searching for anything that wasn't just medication and hope. Bryce exceeded every expectation I had, and indeed most of my hopes, in how he handled my treatment. Not only did Bryce manage to do what no doctor had been able to do- get the muscle spasms in my back/neck to stop, and do it without any medications- he got my migraines down to once a month or less from multiple times per week. Which is awesome. But he also did something that I haven't experienced at a medical appointment in years if not decades- he managed to create a space where I wasn't anxious. I'm normally super anxious anytime I have to go into a medical office for anything- raises my blood pressure like 20-30% anxious. And I never had that issue in his office. I can't recommend him enough.

Therapists are stretched to the max, but we still need to prioritize our health. So what are the alternatives? For me, it's acupuncture and cupping. This traditional Chinese medicine explains that one's health is the result of a harmonious balance of the "yin" and "yang" of the life force known as "qi," pronounced "chi." Illness is said to be the result of an imbalance. Qi flows through meridians in the human body, accessible by 350 acupuncture points. I can think of no better way to treat my body than to become a human pin cushion! It may sound intense if you've never tried it, but you actually barely feel anything because the needles are so thin. Acupuncture is used to treat anxiety, migraines, pain, digestive and sleep disorders, infertility, depression, and addiction, just to name a few things. Cupping works similarly to balance the qi by increasing blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Earth Moon also offers massage therapy (including pre-natal) and herbal supplements to aid in your overall wellness. They're located a stone's throw from the state hospital, off Center Street with easy interstate access. The vibe is calm with a tranquil asian inspired aesthetic. Most insurance is accepted. Find information online and request a consultation. You can bet your body will thank you!

As I walked in, I noticed how clean and tidy the clinic space is, very earthy, designed to make you feel comfortable. I sat down and filled out my intake form, which is very thorough. Then Sequoia guided me to the treatment room, I was offered a choice of tea and essential oil, I chose eucalyptus! Love eucalyptus, he let me know he's getting a diffuser soon, but for now he incorporated the essential oil into the treatment. After I sat down, he took my pulse and asked a few questions to clarify my responses on the intake form. And inquired any areas of concern I had, I said 'hormonal acne, left side of my neck is tight and right erector muscle' Then he left the room, I undressed to my level of comfort (I'm a massage therapist, so I'm super comfortable in this setting), placed my jewelry in the bowl provided and got on the massage table, under the flat sheet. During the treatment I was gently mesmerized by the music and felt a release in my left levator scapulae ( back neck muscle) as he needled it. He addressed my other concerns too and responded with a thorough answer when I asked what a certain point was for, or when I asked for the music to be a bit quieter he happily obliged. By the end I was drifting in parasympathetic mode aka 'rest and digest'. Very calm and peaceful place for your nervous system to switch into to heal and realign itself. Important, delicious and so necessary! Love when I come away from a treatment feeling this way. I will definitely be going back for regular treatments with Sequoia, he was awesome!
