I signed up via Facebook for an appointment which was an assessment. I received no less than 5 appointment reminders which was a little annoying. My appointment was at 6pm. I showed up and was given forms to fill out and was asked to provide my insurance card. I received forms which asked about my medical history and the names and ages of my children, I thought that was weird. Either way, I did not provide an insurance card or the information on my children. I waited and waited. I was taken to the back with one lady who was very nice. She described the neurological affects of a misaligned spine, liver, kidney, thyroid, heart palpitations to name a few...seemed a bit far fetched, but I was open to hearing about it. I was next introduced to the founder of chiropractor practice who may have contributed to curing a deaf person via back alinement. Next I went to wait in the x-ray room. A second lady came to talk to me and explained the back and how all aspects of the body were affected by misalignments. She even brought a spine with her (this lady would be a factor later in the review). I was asked to wait for the chiropractor who would do an assessment. The Chiropractor came in and I explained my issues to him. He said, "the ladies will prepare you for a scan." The first woman came back and asked me to change into a gown which seemed worn to the point of having the Velcro curl. I wasn't even sure whether the gown was clean because the neckline was a bit discolored which, to me, seemed like makeup (I do not wear make up). The scan entailed what seemed to me like a light up lint roller which was run up my spine. That woman asked me to get dressed and someone would come in and review my results with me. Enter woman number two (remember I met her earlier). She gave me my scan results with a sheet of what ailments I may have. I was reviewing it while the lady told me that due to my severe condition; the doctor would like me to have an X-ray for $109. She asked if I would like to get scheduled and I said no. I continued to read my results when this lady asked me, "do you want that in Spanish?" Mind you, I had spoken to her in English before. I asked her, "why would I want it in Spanish? I don't read Spanish." I do, but that is not the point. How dare she say that to me? She was an African American woman and I would never suggest that she spoke another language. I suggest that they have some cultural sensitivity training with this person. Overall, I wanted to give more than one star because the doctor and woman 1 were both very kind and courteous to me. I thought that functional medicine was reasonable, but what I thought was unsatisfactory was the length of the wait, the intrusive reminders and questioner questions, the worn out gown, the hard sell, and lastly the cultural ignorance of their employee. read more

I haven't slept well for almost 3 weeks from bad neck pain and limited movement and a lot of pain daily. I came here to get an adjustment to fix it. Instead I was sold this plan for over $4,000 dollars but with some random discounts she said almost $3,000 instead. That I could do a monthly payment plan and needed to be seen 3x a week. I opted out and asked for just an adjustment. They didn't adjust anything. They used a small tool to click 3 spots on my back that didn't do anything for the issue of why I went there in the first place. I've gone to chiropractors all my life and my family has gone too. There were signs to look out for. The chiropractor you first meet with who does the sales pitch is not who will be doing treatment. They evaluate you and have you come back to discuss and do treatment instead of same day. Stated insurance covered evaluation and treatment. But told me after that it wasn't covered at all and they never even tried to bill or verify insurance. Wasted my time and my money. read more

Be prepared to get ripped off. If you're going for the "$29 initial screening", make sure you have an extra $150+ for x-rays. Then find another like $1000 to $3000 laying around to pay for their service in advance. They hid this exact comment from their page on Facebook and blocked me from commenting because I'm sure their goal is to rip off as many people as possible. I'm sure their service is good or whatever, but they hide the cost and these veiled charges, so just beware. I felt they were being dishonest and decided to go with my better judgement (after getting ripped off for the initial visit and x-rays - yea, I fell for it about that far)... Unfortunately I had a horrible experience with this business, which is sad cause I really thought it would be great. If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm a long time chiropractic patient, especially neuropathic chiropractors that don't just pop and crack, and when I moved here I was looking to find a new place to continue care. All my interactions with them have been sub par but I finally got to receive an adjustment and I'm completely appalled at how they run their business. They make it seem like they care and will pray for you and have scriptures on the walls but it was all very impersonal and money driven. I came to a Tuesday night "doctors report", which felt exactly like a sleezy car salesman telling me that if I don't buy the newest most expensive car, and get my friends and family to do the same, then I must not care about myself. He never even introduced himself. It felt like a money driven cult and unfortunately I had to pay 180$ and waste 2 and 1/2 hours of my time to figure that out. Here are some specifics. I wanted to just come in to get an adjustment and see if I wanted to pick him as my chiropractor. They wouldn't do any adjustments without an x ray and a scan, which would have been super expensive. And that makes sense. If you're going to manipulate someone's spine you'd want to make sure there's no huge issues that could injury them. Mind you, I'm perfectly healthy, no accidents or injuries. But I already had those done so they said they would contact my previous chiro, get them and call me back. They never did. Finally I called them after a month and they had actually received them in a day but never contacted me. That's fine. I could have called sooner I suppose. So they still won't adjust me, they say I have to come to a new patient doctors report thing. They don't explain that many other people are coming and that afterwards you have to wait for everyone to see the doctor. So it lasted from 7-9:30pm+. They said they needed more recent scans, which are 75$. And the adjustment is 75$. Unless you pay 50$ and get a sort of chiro insurance that drops it to 35$ an adjustment. Which is ridiculous if you've been adjusted. 75$ is incredibly over inflated so it's a stupid gimmick to get you to buy the insurance. But 35$ for an adjustment is normal so okay. Before they even do the scan and know how my back and nerves are, they give an "individual" care plan that says I have to get adjusted 3x a week. 3 X A WEEK! I had already told him I have been under care for a long time and was just in maintenance, getting adjusted every other week and he recommends that. Without seeing any recent scans. Individual my butt. The cost? 1,830$!!!! So I explain that I don't want to commit to this plan if I haven't even been adjusted by him to see how I like it. He does not receive this well. Basically tries to bully me into it and says I can't make a decision based on one adjustment. I had to "commit to my care". I really should have just left at this point but stupid me still hoped the adjustment would be worth it. So we finally agreed to do one adjustment but I still needed a recent scan first. The scan was done and he didn't even go over it with me!! So then the adjustment. Mind you, I hate aggressive chiropractors. It terrifies me, even after months of getting treated. But this guy did basically nothing. He barely touched on my spine and feet tons of times and then pulled out a gadget that looked like an activator but with less pressure and lightly touched 3-4 spots. My hip had been hurting and he did nothing for it. Never asked what problems or tightness or pains or injuries I've ever had. Did nothing. 3 tiny pushes against my spine and done. And that was supposed to be worth 75$. Which I now understand why you'd have to come 3x a week cause he barely does any manipulation of the spine at all. You could probably see results but they'd take forever and cost hundreds of dollars to get. It's a horrible scam in my opinion, and unprofessional in a lot of ways. I hope this review helps someone. I first got to know Dr. John at his ribbon cutting a few years ago and have loved what they have done for me ever since. Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and great results. This style of chiropractic is what helped my migraines go away completely, now I go in for infrequent proactive care and absolutely trust them with my and my family's health. The only thing I would like more is having Saturday adjustments available but it is worth working around my schedule to get in and see this team. read more

I have always been a fairly health person yet I have found myself a prisoner to migraines, some days incapable of leaving the darkness of my bedroom. I have never been fond of doctors because I have always felt that more times than not you are walking out the door with a prescription in hand still wondering what's causing your problem in the first place. I did a little research and came across renovation chiropractic. Truthfully the main reason I chose this place was because they were open after normal 9-5 work hours which would allow me not to miss work. I called the office to get a little information and I was honestly blown away from the level of customer service I received on the phone. I was invited in for a free consultation and tour of the facility and as I hung up I found myself thanking the nice Lady for treating me with such kindness and respect.... It's hard to come by these days. I went in for my appointment within the next two days and upon my arrival both of the office ladies came around the counter to introduce themselves and they are two of the most genuine people I have ever met. After my consultation and meeting with the Doc ( Genuine and kind as well,) I decided to give his treatment plan a try. I have to add that the science behind it made sense but I am a sceptic at heart and I wasn't completely sold. I have been going a little over three months; My migraines have subsided to more of an occasional nag and I have seen a tremendous difference in my over all health. I have given them a Firewall Five rating because you will not find a more caring staff that makes you feel like your part of their family while they are taking care of your health.
