I've been seeing Dr. Neal since 2011, and he genuinely cares about all of his patients. Dr. Neal is a self proclaimed gym rat and is capable of performing adjustments on larger guys like my husband, who is built like a football player (6'3" and big). Scott was very impressed after his last chiropractor could barely manage to pop his back once or twice. He has a more gentle approach for adjusting me though. Dr. Neal is a workaholic, totally devoted to his patients. He "takes" a 2 hour lunch but won't turn away a patient walking in the door at 11:55, even if he has 5 patients already waiting. I'm willing to bet some days he misses lunch all together. It just depends on how busy he is that day. He's always there to help even if it means sacrificing a lunch break. I recommend 8:00 or early mornings. Mondays can sometimes be busy, but it's just hit or miss. I've never waited more than 30-45 minutes anytime I've visited, and he has plenty of magazines to read while you wait. As mentioned earlier, you don't have to make an appointment. If it's just too busy I return a later time or come back a different day. As for massages: it depends on the therapist. Find one you like and stick with her/him. You DO need an appointment for these, and don't be surprised if you get a call from Dr. Neal to remind you about your appointment. Adjustments are included in the massage price, so it's a really good deal.

It was during his treatment of this acute injury that he learned about my lifestyle and physical complaints. I'm getting older, and now I have nagging back and neck pain which I try to ignore, or I stretch and take mega doses of Vitamin I (ibuprofen!). Dr V started giving me "homework". He showed me exactly how with a certain repetitive motion repeated as often as possible in pool of water (less weight= lower resistance) I could strengthen the muscles around weaker bones -and in due time, the nagging soreness wasn't there constantly reminding me I'm getting so damn old. What I like was that the good doc is that he cares about the whole person, not tunnel-vision for the specific injury that brought you in the first time. Dr. V cared enough to call when I'd miss an appt to make sure I was ok! (WHO does this today!!?). This is a great healer. I recommend you make 6 appointments over 2 weeks. Your whole outlook on life improves, from better mood (less snappy), demeanor( smiling easily) and ready thankfulness (seeing the good-even in incorrigible neighbors). Feel better.
